How to Move a YouTube Loop from OneStream Live to Restream

There’s no documented one-click migration from OneStream Live to Restream. Keep the video and event details, rebuild the stream, and verify repeat behavior before switching.

You can’t move a OneStream Live loop into Restream with a one-click import documented by either service. Instead, keep your video file and YouTube event details, then rebuild the broadcast in Restream. You may be able to reuse the existing YouTube event, but confirm that Restream supports the repeat behavior and duration you need before switching: its documented event setup does not establish that it can reproduce OneStream’s looping or 24/7 modes.

What carries over—and what you need to rebuild

Treat the video asset and the service-side broadcast setup as separate things. Keep a copy of the source video, along with the YouTube event URL and its title, description, privacy, schedule, and other settings. Then configure a video or playlist stream in Restream and connect it to a new or existing YouTube event.

OneStream Live’s Help Center describes looping a pre-recorded video up to 60 times in one broadcast; the article was last updated September 21, 2026. OneStream separately describes a YouTube-only 24/7 streaming mode. Those are distinct workflows, and neither should be assumed to have a direct equivalent in Restream without checking the current account and controls. OneStream Live: How to Loop a Pre-recorded Stream? OneStream Live: Ways to Go Live

Before switching, record the current setup

  • YouTube event: Save its URL, title, description, privacy setting, scheduled start time, and any other metadata you need to retain.
  • Video and repeat plan: Keep the original file accessible and note whether the current broadcast repeats it, how many times, or uses OneStream’s 24/7 mode.
  • Live controls: Check the event’s auto-start and auto-stop settings. They affect whether you must manually start or end the YouTube broadcast.
  • Stream credentials: YouTube manages stream settings and keys in Live Control Room. Do not assume a key or service connection transfers from OneStream; use the credentials and connection flow required by Restream.

OneStream’s documented loop setup can use a video from a device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage, then asks you to choose a loop count, destination, stream details, and schedule. Its help material also describes scheduling up to 60 days ahead; availability may depend on the account or plan. See OneStream’s loop instructions.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Rebuild the broadcast in Restream

  1. Choose the YouTube event. In Restream, connect the YouTube channel and select the existing event if you want to retain it and it is available in the event picker. Otherwise create a new YouTube event. Restream also documents connecting an existing event through its YouTube integration or as a custom RTMP channel. Restream: Stream to an existing YouTube Event
  2. Start a new stream. Restream’s documented YouTube event flow begins at New Stream and offers Studio, RTMP, Video File, or Playlist. Choose Video File or Playlist for a pre-recorded broadcast, then select the content that matches the setup you recorded.
  3. Enter or confirm event details. Check the title, description, privacy, and schedule before saving or scheduling. If you selected an existing event, verify that the event shown is the one intended for this broadcast.
  4. Verify repeat behavior and duration. Restream’s cited event instructions establish Video File and Playlist workflows, but do not establish that a single file can repeat indefinitely or reproduce OneStream’s loop limits or 24/7 mode. Check the controls in your current Restream account and confirm the planned end behavior before relying on it for a long-running broadcast.
  5. Check auto-start and auto-stop. If YouTube auto-start is disabled, start the stream in Restream and then click Go Live on YouTube. If auto-stop is disabled, stop the Restream stream and then click End Live on YouTube. Restream explains the existing-event workflow and these controls.
  6. Inspect the live output before retiring the old setup. Confirm the correct channel and event, visibility and timing, video and audio playback, and the intended repeat or stop behavior. Keep the OneStream setup available until the replacement behaves as required.

For the event workflow and available stream types, see Restream’s guide to creating a YouTube Live Event. YouTube’s own live stream settings guide covers stream configuration in Live Control Room.

Keep the event or create a new one?

Choice What to check
Use the existing YouTube event Confirm Restream can select the event, the event URL and audience continuity matter to you, and its current metadata, schedule, privacy, and auto-start/stop settings are correct.
Create a new YouTube event Enter the desired event details and schedule in the new workflow. Share the new event URL if viewers need to find it; do not assume the old event’s audience or URL carries over.
