To avoid another Gyre subscription charge, use Settings > Subscriptions > Active, open the subscription’s three-dot menu, and choose Unsubscribe. Do not switch plans or delete your account. Cancellation and stopping a YouTube broadcast are separate actions, but Gyre’s public cancellation guidance does not guarantee that every active stream will continue uninterrupted after you unsubscribe. Check the subscription’s paid-through date and the broadcast’s status separately.
Cancel renewal without stopping the broadcast
- Sign in to Gyre and open the avatar menu.
- Select Settings > Subscriptions > Active.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Open its three-dot menu and select Unsubscribe, then complete any confirmation shown.
- Return to the subscription details and check its status and renewal or paid-through date. Gyre’s public documentation does not specify the exact dashboard label or cutoff time for an individual account.
- Separately check the YouTube broadcast and Gyre stream status. Avoid plan changes or account deletion if your immediate goal is to avoid renewal while preserving a stream that is already live.
Unsubscribe is the documented route for ending renewal. It is not the same as stopping the broadcast. Gyre’s public materials do not expressly promise that every running stream will remain uninterrupted after an ordinary unsubscribe, so verify the live status rather than relying on the cancellation confirmation alone.
What cancellation changes—and what it does not
Gyre’s Terms of Service say subscriptions automatically charge at the start of each new period and advise cancelling before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. In the stated no-refund cases—cancellation more than 14 days after payment, or earlier cancellation when the account’s total stream duration exceeds 10 hours—the terms say the services continue until the end of the subscription period. Gyre’s pricing FAQ likewise says an ineligible-for-refund subscription remains active until its duration ends. These statements concern service availability through the paid period; they do not expressly guarantee uninterrupted runtime for a particular live broadcast.
- Cancellation: ends renewal, subject to the account’s subscription terms and timing.
- Broadcast stop: ends the live YouTube broadcast. Gyre’s technical guide says its YouTube API authorization can manage a broadcast lifecycle, including stopping it; that is a separate control from unsubscribing.
- Plan change: Gyre says choosing a different paid plan closes the free subscription, stops active streams, and provisions a new server. Do not use a plan switch as a substitute for cancelling renewal.
- Account deletion: this is not the ordinary cancellation route. Gyre’s terms say an account with active subscriptions also requires a subscription-cancellation request to delete, and describe service termination in the specified deletion cases. Do not delete the account to avoid renewal if keeping the live broadcast is the priority.
Cancellation is separate from a refund
Gyre’s current pricing FAQ and Terms of Service, accessed in 2026, describe a full refund when the request is made within 14 days of payment and the account has streamed less than 10 hours. The FAQ says to cancel and contact customer support. The terms say to request a refund from the account email and include the account number and reasons; they also note that fees may be deducted. Meeting the stated conditions does not make cancellation and refund the same action: submit the refund request separately and confirm the outcome with Gyre.

If a stream stops or renewal still appears active
- The stream stops after a plan change: Gyre documents that choosing another paid plan stops active streams. Check whether a plan switch occurred; confirm the new server and stream setup with Gyre support.
- The stream stops around cancellation: the public documentation does not establish ordinary unsubscribe as the cause or guarantee continuity afterward. Check Gyre’s stream status and the YouTube broadcast status separately, then contact Gyre support with the account and stream details.
- A charge is still due: compare the cancellation confirmation with the renewal date shown in the subscription details. The precise cutoff time is not stated in Gyre’s public documentation; if the date is near or has passed, ask support to confirm the subscription status.
- You are still on a free trial: Gyre says its seven-day trial automatically upgrades to Start+ if not cancelled by day seven, and trial streams stop when the trial closes. Do not assume trial cancellation behaves like an ordinary paid-period unsubscribe; check the trial status and stream separately.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you are leaving Gyre but still want a YouTube channel to loop uploaded videos 24/7, StreamNeo is an alternative: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running without a computer or home connection staying on. It supports uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only; it does not go live from a camera. Start the free day.
