सीधा जवाब: OBS में अलग से PC को जागा रखने का switch नहीं है। Windows 11 में Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें और plugged-in स्थिति में Make my device sleep after को Never या स्ट्रीम से अधिक समय पर सेट करें। Monitor बंद करना हो तो Turn my screen off after का timeout अलग से कम रखें—screen बंद होना और PC का sleep होना अलग बातें हैं।
Windows 11 में PC को sleep से कैसे रोकें
- PC को AC power से जोड़ें। 24/7 स्ट्रीम के लिए laptop को लगातार battery पर चलाना व्यावहारिक नहीं है। यदि laptop है और lid बंद करना चाहते हैं, तो lid बंद करने पर होने वाली कार्रवाई भी जाँचें; यह sleep timeout से अलग power control हो सकता है।
- Settings खोलें: Start > Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts पर जाएँ। यह Windows 11 का रास्ता है; उपलब्ध विकल्प device के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।
- Plugged-in sleep timeout बदलें: Make my device sleep after के plugged-in विकल्प में Never चुनें या ऐसा समय रखें जो आपकी स्ट्रीम से लंबा हो। Microsoft के अनुसार यह setting तय करती है कि उपयोग न होने पर device को sleep में जाने से पहले कितना इंतज़ार करना चाहिए। Microsoft की Windows power settings guidance देखें।
- जरूरत हो तो display अलग से बंद करें: Turn my screen off after को छोटी अवधि पर रखें। इससे screen बुझ सकती है जबकि PC जागा रहता है; यह sleep timeout को अपने-आप नहीं बदलता।
- अपनी वास्तविक setup पर परीक्षण करें: उसी power source, screen स्थिति और OBS scene के साथ स्ट्रीम चलाकर देखें। यदि PC फिर भी सोता है, तो manufacturer की utility, lid या power-button action, scheduled maintenance अथवा संगठन की device policy जैसी अन्य power controls जाँचें। इनका व्यवहार हर device पर एक जैसा नहीं होता।
Sleep बंद करना लगातार स्ट्रीम की पूरी गारंटी क्यों नहीं है
Sleep PC की power अवस्था है; OBS उस host computer पर चलता है। Sleep timeout बदलने से बिजली कटने, internet टूटने, OBS crash होने या encoder पर अधिक load पड़ने से सुरक्षा नहीं मिलती। OBS की system guidance के अनुसार compatible system होना streaming की क्षमता की गारंटी नहीं है: CPU की जरूरत encoder, resolution, FPS और scene complexity के साथ बदलती है।
Encoding overload हो तो OBS की troubleshooting सलाह के अनुरूप GPU load घटाएँ, अन्य भारी GPU applications बंद करें और जरूरत पड़ने पर scene या settings सरल करें। यह encoding समस्या का उपाय है, sleep रोकने का विकल्प नहीं।
OBS को YouTube से जोड़ें और stream health जाँचें
- YouTube Live Control Room में stream setup खोलें और encoder के लिए दिया गया server URL तथा stream key OBS में डालें। Stream key को निजी रखें।
- OBS में stream शुरू करें और YouTube Live Control Room में preview तथा stream health देखें। YouTube encoder guidance में RTMP/RTMPS, H.264 और CBR settings शामिल हैं।
- एक universal bitrate न अपनाएँ: उसे अपनी उपलब्ध upload speed, resolution, frame rate और scene के अनुरूप चुनें। YouTube upload bitrate जाँचने और वास्तविक जैसी audio तथा motion वाली स्थिति में पहले test करने की सलाह देता है।
स्ट्रीम की अवधि भी मायने रखती है: YouTube Help के अनुसार 12 घंटे से कम की live stream स्वतः archive हो सकती है; 12 घंटे से लंबी stream शायद capture न हो। यदि पूरा replay जरूरी है, तो local recording को backup रखें और लंबे stream के archive को निश्चित न मानें। यह सीमा YouTube की archive guidance में दी गई है; पृष्ठ पर प्रकाशन वर्ष निर्दिष्ट नहीं है और इसे 3 अक्टूबर 2026 को सत्यापित माना गया है। YouTube की live stream archive guidance देखें।

समस्या हो तो क्या जाँचें
- PC सो गया: पुष्टि करें कि आपने sleep timeout का plugged-in विकल्प बदला है, केवल screen-off विकल्प नहीं। Laptop lid या power-button action जैसी अलग setting भी कारण हो सकती है।
- OBS बंद हो गया या stream रुक गई: sleep setting OBS crash या encoder overload नहीं रोकती। OBS की स्थिति और GPU load जाँचें, दूसरे भारी GPU apps बंद करके सरल settings के साथ परीक्षण करें।
- YouTube पर stream अस्थिर दिखती है: Live Control Room का stream health देखें और upload connection तथा bitrate को अपनी वास्तविक परिस्थितियों में परखें।
- लंबी stream का replay नहीं मिला: 12 घंटे से अधिक stream के archive होने की गारंटी नहीं; replay जरूरी हो तो local recording रखें।
