कम RAM वाले लैपटॉप पर OBS से YouTube पर पहले से रिकॉर्ड किया वीडियो चलाने के लिए पहले Tools → Auto-Configuration Wizard चलाएँ, फिर एक सरल scene में Media Source जोड़ें। जरूरत पड़े तो output resolution और frame rate घटाएँ, अनावश्यक sources हटाएँ और उपलब्ध compatible hardware encoder आजमाएँ। कोई एक RAM संख्या या preset हर लैपटॉप पर काम करने की गारंटी नहीं देता—छोटी test stream चलाकर OBS और YouTube की stream health जाँचें।
क्या कम RAM वाला लैपटॉप यह कर सकता है?
संभव है, लेकिन केवल RAM देखकर फैसला नहीं किया जा सकता। OBS के अनुसार CPU, encoder, resolution, frame rate और scene की जटिलता भी प्रदर्शन को प्रभावित करते हैं। OBS की प्रकाशित basic requirements कोई न्यूनतम RAM संख्या तय नहीं करतीं, और compatible system होना सफल streaming की गारंटी नहीं है। आपका laptop model, operating system, CPU, GPU, वास्तविक RAM, वीडियो file का codec और upload speed मालूम न होने से सटीक encoder या bitrate हर मशीन के लिए बताना संभव नहीं है।
सबसे सरल OBS setup
- शुरुआती configuration: OBS खोलें और Tools → Auto-Configuration Wizard चुनें। Wizard आपकी जरूरत, computer hardware और streaming के लिए network conditions के आधार पर शुरुआती settings सुझाता है। इसे शुरुआती बिंदु मानें, स्थिर stream की गारंटी नहीं।
- एक सरल scene बनाएँ: Scenes में नया या खाली scene चुनें। Sources के + पर क्लिक करके Media Source जोड़ें, source को नाम दें और अपनी local video file चुनें। एक ही वीडियो चलाने के लिए यह सीधा विकल्प है; prerecorded playback के इस तरीके में अलग capture card की जरूरत नहीं बताई गई है।
- वीडियो की शुरुआत और अंत जाँचें: Media Source की Properties में playback से जुड़ी जरूरत के अनुसार source सेट करें। Stream शुरू करने से पहले OBS preview में वीडियो और audio चलाकर देखें। अगर आपका लक्ष्य लगातार प्रसारण है, तो वीडियो के अंत पर playback रुक सकता है—नीचे playlist और cloud विकल्पों का अंतर देखें।
OBS के Media Source में MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF और WebM वीडियो तथा MP3, AAC, OGG और WAV audio समर्थित हैं। File न खुले तो पहले देखें कि वह इन formats में है और OBS उसे स्थानीय रूप से पढ़ पा रहा है।
कम संसाधन खर्च करने वाली settings
Media Source को inactive होने पर unload करें
Media Source की Properties में Close file when inactive आजमाएँ। OBS के अनुसार source छिपने पर file unload हो सकती है और memory बच सकती है। Scene पर लौटने पर file दोबारा load होने तक छोटी देरी हो सकती है। यदि वही scene लगातार दिखता है, तो source inactive नहीं होगा और यह विकल्प कम उपयोगी हो सकता है।

Resolution और frame rate घटाएँ
Settings → Video में output resolution कम करके test करें। यदि 60 fps पर rendering या encoding में दिक्कत हो, तो 30 fps आजमाएँ। जिस आकार में वीडियो stream पर दिखेगा, उससे बहुत बड़ा source या 4K output जरूरी नहीं, खासकर जब उसे छोटा दिखाया जा रहा हो। Resolution या FPS घटाने से visual detail या motion smoothness कम हो सकती है, इसलिए वास्तविक preview और test stream के आधार पर चुनें।
Scene को हल्का रखें
- अनावश्यक scenes, sources और filters हटाएँ।
- जरूरत न हो तो Browser Sources और भारी overlays न रखें। स्थिर graphic के लिए Browser Source के बजाय Image Source इस्तेमाल करें।
- पहले एक scene और केवल जरूरी video तथा audio sources से परीक्षण करें; फिर जरूरत के मुताबिक elements जोड़ें।
उपलब्ध hardware encoder पर विचार करें
Settings → Output में encoder विकल्प देखें। Compatible hardware encoder video encoding का काम CPU के बजाय GPU के विशेष encoding component पर भेज सकता है, जिससे CPU पर दबाव घटने की संभावना है। NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, Intel QSV और Apple VideoToolbox की उपलब्धता laptop के hardware, generation और operating system पर निर्भर है। विकल्प न दिखे तो software encoder ही उपलब्ध हो सकता है।

Intel QSV के लिए OBS की compatibility जानकारी Core-i 2xxx या नए Intel HD Graphics का उल्लेख करती है; शुरुआती QSV quality के लिए Core-i 4xxx या नया सुझाती है। इसे हर laptop के लिए उपलब्धता या performance की गारंटी न मानें। OBS यह भी चेतावनी देता है कि पुराने hardware encoders समान bitrate पर software encoding से कम image quality दे सकते हैं।
YouTube stream key, bitrate और audio सेट करें
- YouTube Live Control Room में live stream बनाकर उसकी stream key लें। उसे गोपनीय रखें: key वाला व्यक्ति आपके channel पर stream भेज सकता है।
- OBS में Settings → Stream खोलें, सेवा के रूप में YouTube चुनें और YouTube से मिली stream key जोड़ें। OBS और YouTube के बीच RTMP/RTMPS ingest इस्तेमाल होता है; YouTube RTMPS की सिफारिश करता है।
- Settings → Output में bitrate और encoder settings रखें। YouTube की 2026 में देखी गई encoder सहायता तालिका के अनुसार H.264 720p30 के लिए recommended bitrate 8 Mbps और minimum 3 Mbps है। ये upload/ingest bitrate के आँकड़े हैं, RAM की जरूरत नहीं; दूसरे resolution या codec के लिए bitrate बदलती है।
- Encoder output को स्थिर रखने के लिए CBR चुनें और keyframe interval 2 seconds रखें। YouTube 2 सेकंड की सिफारिश करता है और 4 सेकंड से अधिक नहीं बताता।
- Audio के लिए AAC या MP3 चुनें। YouTube stereo audio के लिए 128 Kbps बताता है।
- अपने इंटरनेट connection की upload speed जाँचें और bitrate के लिए कुछ headroom रखें। अगर upload connection लगातार चुनी गई bitrate नहीं संभालता, तो stream की health प्रभावित हो सकती है।
उदाहरण के लिए, 720p30 H.264 पर YouTube की recommended ingest bitrate 8 Mbps है; यह आपके laptop की RAM का माप नहीं है। यह भी सुनिश्चित करें कि आपके network की upload क्षमता stream को स्थिर रूप से भेज सके।

Test stream चलाएँ और समस्या के अनुसार बदलाव करें
- OBS में audio और video preview जाँचें; केवल static screen नहीं, चलती हुई video और audio भी सुनें।
- OBS से stream शुरू करें और YouTube Live Control Room में preview तथा stream health/messages देखें। सार्वजनिक प्रसारण से पहले कुछ मिनट test करना उपयोगी है।
- OBS के Stats में dropped frames, rendering lag और encoding overload पर नजर रखें। ये अलग-अलग समस्याएँ हैं; एक साथ कई settings बदलने के बजाय एक बदलाव करें और फिर test दोहराएँ।
- Encoding overload हो तो पहले output resolution या FPS घटाएँ और अनावश्यक sources तथा filters हटाएँ। फिर उपलब्ध compatible hardware encoder आजमाएँ।
- Network-संबंधी dropped frames दिखें तो upload connection और चुनी bitrate की जाँच करें; bitrate को network की स्थिर क्षमता के अनुरूप रखें।
