You can run a continuous Marathi lofi radio stream by looping rights-cleared audio and visuals through FFmpeg, then sending the encoded feed to YouTube Live. You need a machine and internet connection that can stay available, a valid stream key, and a recovery plan: a correctly formed FFmpeg command alone does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming.
Before you start: prepare media you can livestream
Use Marathi lofi tracks and visuals whose permissions cover your intended YouTube livestream, territories, duration, and monetization. Keep records of permissions for each track and any Content ID allowlisting confirmation. Owning a file, finding it online, or having a general license does not by itself establish that it may be used in a continuous YouTube broadcast.
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for third-party matches, including copyrighted material in another broadcast. A match can cause a placeholder to replace the live picture, or lead to interruption or termination if the material remains. Even when you have a license, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Check the terms with the rights holder before going live. - Check that the license explicitly covers YouTube livestreaming, your intended geography, monetization, and continuous or repeated playback.
- Confirm how Content ID claims are handled and whether channel allowlisting is required.
- Listen to the joins where the audio loop repeats. Abrupt cuts, silence, or volume changes can recur for the entire broadcast.
- Check the visual loop’s aspect ratio, duration, and transitions. A single file containing both audio and video is simplest; separate inputs allow independent changes but require more careful mapping and synchronization.
Create or schedule the YouTube Live event
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one. Review the visibility, title, description, and other event settings before sending viewers to it. A scheduled stream can provide a watch page and a reminder option.
- In the stream’s encoder settings, copy the current ingest server URL and stream key. Use the exact URL YouTube shows; do not rely on an old or guessed ingest address. You can reuse stream settings or manage custom stream keys in YouTube Studio. Manage live stream settings
- Treat the stream key as a secret: it gives an encoder access to your broadcast. Do not put it in a public post, screenshot, or shared command. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Keep the Live Control Room open. You will use its preview and stream-health messages to confirm that YouTube is receiving the feed.

Build the FFmpeg command around your actual files
FFmpeg options are position-sensitive. As the FFmpeg documentation puts it, “As a general rule, options are applied to the next specified file.” Put input options such as -re and -stream_loop before the corresponding -i; put mappings and output encoding options after the inputs and before the output URL. This illustrative command assumes that visual.mp4 already contains both the picture and the audio. Replace the filename, ingest URL, and key with your own values. The example is a command shape, not a tested configuration; verify options against your installed FFmpeg build and test privately before broadcasting.

Choose video settings using YouTube’s table
Do not treat a single bitrate as suitable for every stream. YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends H.264 over RTMP/RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), frame rates up to 60 fps, and a two-second keyframe interval; it says not to exceed four seconds. It recommends RTMPS for encrypted ingestion and advises testing with a real upload-speed check. YouTube transcodes the incoming feed into viewer playback outputs, but that does not guarantee a particular connection or encoder will hold its configured rate.

The listed bitrates are YouTube recommendations, not measured results for your media or network. Use the resolution-specific values in YouTube’s current encoder settings table for your chosen resolution and frame rate; the table can change. Match the GOP to the output frame rate and keyframe interval—for example, 60 frames at 30 fps gives two seconds. Prefer a resolution and bitrate your encoder can sustain with upload headroom rather than choosing the highest setting by default.

Test, start, and monitor the broadcast
- Run the command with your real files and current stream settings. Before making the event public, confirm that the feed appears in Live Control Room preview.
- Check both sound and picture: listen for distortion, silence, clipping, or bad loop joins; inspect aspect ratio, motion, and whether the visual repeats cleanly. YouTube recommends tests that include audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast.
- Check the Live Control Room’s stream health and messages, then start the event using the controls shown for that stream. Open the public watch page separately to verify the viewer-facing result.
- Keep logs and define who or what will notice a failure and how an operator will restart the encoder. A stream that runs from a file still depends on the host machine, its power, network, and process remaining available.

FFmpeg documents a FIFO muxer recovery mode for temporary network failures, as well as reconnect options for some protocols. Support and behavior depend on the protocol and configuration. Reconnecting an input is not the same as successfully reconnecting the output to YouTube, and no option guarantees end-to-end recovery. Review FFmpeg’s FIFO muxer documentation and protocol-specific options for the installed build, then rehearse the failure and restart path.

A continuously running setup may use a process supervisor, a stable hosted machine, a backup internet connection, and human alerting. These are operational choices, not a substitute for testing. Monitor YouTube’s stream health and decide in advance who will respond if the encoder exits or YouTube stops receiving data.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not mean one archived stream can cover an indefinite 24/7 broadcast. Plan for stream-session boundaries and verify YouTube’s current behavior in Live Control Room before deployment.

Where to run FFmpeg: local machine or hosted machine
