Technically, yes—but OneStream Live does not give you permission to rebroadcast someone else’s music video. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may replace the stream with a placeholder, warn you, interrupt the broadcast or terminate it. Before going live, secure permission for the specific music video and ask the rights owner to add your YouTube channel to its Content ID allowlist.
What OneStream Live can do—and what it cannot
OneStream Live documents pre-recorded streams, a browser-based studio and encoder streaming, with YouTube among its supported destinations. Its documentation also describes scheduling pre-recorded video and looping to YouTube 24/7. These are delivery features, not copyright clearance: the service does not establish that you have permission to use a third party’s music video. OneStream Live’s pre-recorded streaming guidance explains its delivery options.
Keep two questions separate: Can the service send the video? and Are you entitled to stream this particular video on YouTube? A technical capability answers only the first. YouTube’s Terms of Service say content must not include third-party intellectual property, including copyrighted material, unless you have permission or are otherwise legally entitled to use it. YouTube Terms of Service.
What YouTube may do during a live stream
YouTube says it scans all live streams for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast. If it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the content. If the content remains, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also terminate a live stream. See YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.

This can happen even if you believe you have a license. YouTube warns that a licensed stream may still be interrupted if the channel is not on the content owner’s Content ID allowlist. The warning applies even where a stream is restricted to territories in which the creator has the necessary rights. Ask the relevant rights owner or administrator to confirm allowlisting before you broadcast.
What to confirm before streaming a music video
- Identify the exact video and rights owner. A music video combines music and audiovisual material; do not assume permission for one element covers the whole video.
- Get permission for the intended use. Confirm that the permission covers the specific work, YouTube live streaming, and the territories in which the stream will be available. A purchased copy, file, or ordinary music subscription does not by itself establish those rights.
- Check the license terms with the rights owner. The relevant scope depends on the particular work and agreement; no general rule establishes that a given license covers livestreaming.
- Request Content ID allowlisting. Give the rights owner or its administrator your YouTube channel details and confirm that the channel has been added before going live. A license alone may not prevent automated interruption.
Keep a copy of the permission and the owner’s allowlisting confirmation. These records do not guarantee that YouTube will leave the stream uninterrupted, but they help you verify what was authorized and whom to contact if a match occurs.

If YouTube flags or interrupts the stream
- A placeholder appears or you receive a warning: stop using the flagged content as YouTube requests. Do not assume that restarting the same video will resolve the issue.
- You believe the use is licensed: contact the rights owner or administrator to check the license scope and Content ID allowlisting for your channel. YouTube’s live-stream guidance says lack of allowlisting can still lead to interruption.
- The stream is interrupted or terminated: review YouTube’s notice and address the identified content before attempting another broadcast. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike may also end the stream.
- You archive the stream: YouTube says claims on archived streams are handled after the live broadcast. An uninterrupted live broadcast therefore does not establish that an archive is cleared.
Where the answer depends on your specific rights
Platform guidance cannot determine whether a particular video, license, channel or territory is covered. The exact permissions required and the local legal position depend on the work, the license terms and the relevant territories. Confirm the scope with the rights owner or a qualified adviser; do not treat a streaming tool’s compatibility with YouTube as proof of authorization.

If your music video is cleared for YouTube, StreamNeo is a separate way to keep an uploaded video running as a 24/7 YouTube stream: upload the video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. That delivery service still does not grant music-video rights or replace Content ID allowlisting. The first day is free with no card; monthly is $9.99 per month.
