Restarting FFmpeg can expose an ingest problem, such as a stale stream key or changed output settings, but it does not by itself explain why a meditation stream is unavailable only in India. First check whether YouTube is receiving a healthy feed in Live Control Room. If it is, investigate event visibility, territorial rights, Content ID notices and viewer connectivity rather than repeatedly changing FFmpeg.
First determine whether the stream failed to ingest or only failed for viewers
Open the intended event in YouTube Live Control Room. Check whether YouTube is receiving the feed, what the Health Indicator says, and the timestamps of any errors. YouTube identifies encoder problems separately from viewer and shared-network problems (YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream issues; YouTube Help: Live stream errors).
- No incoming feed, or an encoder startup error: investigate FFmpeg’s destination, stream key and output settings.
- A feed arrives but the Health Indicator reports a format, bitrate, audio/video or keyframe error: correct the setting named in the error.
- The feed looks healthy but viewers in India say it is unavailable: check the watch page, event visibility, rights notices and access from independent networks before changing encoder settings.
A running FFmpeg process does not prove that it is publishing to the event viewers are trying to open. Verify that the event selected in Live Control Room is the intended one.
Check FFmpeg’s YouTube destination and stream key
The stream URL and key direct the encoder’s feed to YouTube and associate it with a stream. A key may have been reset, or FFmpeg may still be using stale values. In Live Control Room, copy the current stream URL and key for the intended stream and update the encoder. YouTube specifically recommends getting a new key in Live Control Room and updating the encoder when the key is the problem (YouTube Help: Troubleshoot your YouTube live stream).

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create > Go live to reach Live Control Room.
- Open the stream or event your audience should watch. Confirm its visibility and that it is the correct event.
- Copy the current stream URL and stream key shown for that stream.
- Update FFmpeg’s publishing destination and key, then restart the encoder and watch Live Control Room for an incoming feed and new health messages.
If the feed appears on a different event or watch page, fix the event selection or share the correct watch page. Do not assume that successful encoder output means the intended page is live.
Use YouTube’s exact ingest error to guide FFmpeg changes
YouTube’s live-stream error guidance covers unsupported formats or codecs, bitrate mismatches, audio/video stream configuration and keyframe frequency (YouTube Help: Live stream errors). Match the displayed error and its timestamp to the encoder output, then change the relevant setting only. A meditation stream may be audio-heavy, but that alone does not establish an audio fault; use the reported error rather than guessing.

Changing several FFmpeg options at once makes it harder to identify the cause. If the dashboard reports no encoder error and the feed is healthy, more ingest-setting changes are unlikely to resolve a problem limited to viewers in one country.
If the feed is healthy, check rights and regional availability
An India-specific report makes territorial availability and rights worth checking, but it does not prove that the stream has been geoblocked. Review the event or video’s visibility and any territory settings available to you, then check YouTube Studio for copyright matches and notices. Confirm that any music or other third-party material is licensed for the territories where viewers are trying to watch.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a stream when it detects a match. A licence alone may not prevent interruption: YouTube says a live stream can still be interrupted if the rights holder has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist (YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams). Resolve a rights issue by confirming territorial permission and any required allowlisting, or by removing or replacing material you cannot use. Do not try to evade a regional rights restriction.
Check channel status and compare viewer reports
Review YouTube Studio for policy, copyright or live-stream access notices. YouTube lists policy strikes and matches to copyrighted live broadcasts among reasons live-streaming access may be turned off. Restarting FFmpeg cannot remove an account restriction; follow the correction or appeal route in the notice if one is available (YouTube Help: Restrictions on live streaming).

Ask affected viewers for the exact message and whether they can open the watch page using another device or connection. The spread of reports helps distinguish a local playback problem from a shared-network or stream-wide issue (YouTube Help: Troubleshoot live stream issues).
- One viewer is affected: have them retry on another device or connection.
- Several viewers on one shared network are affected: compare with a viewer on an independent connection; investigate the shared network path.
- Viewers on unrelated networks are affected: check Live Control Room health and Studio notices for an encoder-wide problem or channel restriction.
Use the evidence to choose the next check
| What you see | Most relevant cause to investigate | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| No incoming feed or an encoder startup error | FFmpeg destination, stream key or ingest | Copy the current URL and key from Live Control Room and read the timestamped Health Indicator error. |
| Feed arrives, but YouTube reports a format, bitrate, audio/video or keyframe error | FFmpeg output configuration | Correct the specific setting identified by YouTube. |
| Feed appears healthy; viewers in India report unavailable while others can watch | Territorial rights, Content ID or event visibility | Check Studio copyright notices, territory rights, allowlisting and the event’s visibility. |
| One viewer cannot watch | Viewer device or connection | Ask for the exact message and have the viewer retry on another device or connection. |
| Viewers on one shared network cannot watch | Shared network | Compare access on an independent network. |
| Viewers on unrelated networks cannot watch, or Studio shows a policy or copyright notice | Stream-wide ingest issue or channel restriction | Inspect encoder health and Studio notices; address the stated issue or follow the notice’s appeal process. |
