To run Bengali Christian worship videos continuously on YouTube, prepare locally stored videos you have permission to livestream, loop one file or a playlist in OBS, then send that encoder feed to a YouTube Live broadcast. A continuous stream is an operating goal, not a YouTube uptime guarantee: plan for dropped connections, power or software problems, and copyright interruptions.
Clear the rights to every video before streaming
Check the rights for each song and video separately. A worship video can involve rights in the composition, lyrics or translation, performance, sound recording, and audiovisual recording. A public YouTube upload or an embeddable video does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it.
Get written permission or a license that covers the specific material, livestream use, channel, territory, and any replay or archive you plan to make available. The United Methodist Church’s copyright guidance is one organization’s bounded example, not universal permission for Bengali repertoire or every denomination and territory.
YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the stream, interruption, or termination. YouTube also notes that a stream may be interrupted even when the creator has a license if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel in Content ID. Ask the licensor whether allowlisting is needed, and keep the permissions and terms with your program plan. Archived streams may receive Content ID claims after the live broadcast ends. Check that your channel can livestream
Before building the program, open YouTube Studio and check that live streaming is available for your channel and that no restriction is blocking it. YouTube Help currently lists channel verification and no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days as requirements; it also says a person must be at least 16 to livestream. For a first music livestream, YouTube for Artists recommends verifying the channel at least 24 hours in advance. Choose a single repeating video or a playlist
Use one file if the stream should repeat the same service or song. Use a playlist if you want several videos to play in a deliberate sequence. In either case, prepare the files on the computer running OBS and confirm the order, titles, captions, artwork, and audio levels before you go live.

Set up looping in OBS
- Create a scene: In OBS, add a scene for the worship stream. Scenes and sources are the building blocks OBS uses to arrange media and other inputs. OBS Sources Guide
- Loop one file: In the scene’s Sources panel, add a Media Source, select the local video file, and enable Loop. OBS will replay that file after it finishes.
- Loop several files: Add a VLC Video source, add the video files in the intended order, and leave Loop Playlist enabled. Install VLC if OBS does not offer the VLC source. Shuffle is a separate option; leave it off when the service needs a fixed order.
- Preview the whole sequence: Check the end of each video and the transition into the next one. Listen for silence, abrupt volume changes, or audio that continues after the picture changes; make sure captions or artwork remain readable.
OBS’s documented Media Source and VLC playlist controls are described in its Media Sources guide. The guide dates from 2022, so labels may differ by OBS version.
Create the YouTube broadcast and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Studio: Use the Live Control Room to create or schedule a broadcast and select the encoder workflow. You do not need to write API code for this creator-facing setup. YouTube Help: Create a live stream
- Copy the stream key into OBS: Enter the key in OBS’s YouTube streaming settings, following the current labels in the Live Control Room and OBS. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or include it in a screenshot. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS.
- Start the encoder and confirm the event: Start streaming from OBS, then check the Live Control Room’s incoming signal and start the broadcast when YouTube indicates it is ready. Google’s API documentation distinguishes the incoming

YouTube Help currently documents a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key (page accessed 2026). These are concurrency limits, not uptime guarantees.

Choose the presentation and archive deliberately
For long-form worship intended for televisions and computers, a horizontal layout may suit the program; a vertical presentation may be more natural for mobile discovery. YouTube’s features and discovery behavior vary by format, so check the current Live Control Room options rather than assuming every layout has the same presentation or reach.
Decide whether to keep an archive before going live. An archive gives viewers a replay, but YouTube may run Content ID checks and issue claims after the stream ends. Confirm that your permissions cover both the live use and the replay.

Monitor the stream and prepare for interruptions
A looping source does not make the entire broadcast self-recovering. The encoder still depends on a working computer, power, software, network connection, and YouTube’s live service. Keep someone responsible for checking the Live Control Room and a separate viewer session during the broadcast; have a restart procedure ready for a dropped encoder connection, warning, or audio problem. YouTube’s documentation does not promise uninterrupted 24/7 operation.
If the stream stops or viewers report a problem
- No incoming signal in Live Control Room: Check that OBS is streaming, the correct broadcast and stream key are selected, and the computer still has an internet connection.
- The video ends instead of repeating: Confirm Loop is enabled for a Media Source, or Loop Playlist for a VLC Video source. Check that the source points to the intended local files.
- A playlist will not load: Confirm VLC is installed and that the files still exist at the locations OBS is using. Re-add the files if they were moved.
- Audio is missing or uneven: Preview the source in OBS and check its audio meter and playback. Review the source’s audio routing and the recorded file’s sound before restarting the broadcast.
- YouTube issues a copyright warning or interrupts the stream: Review the Live Control Room notice, stop using the disputed material if needed, and contact the relevant rights holder. A license may not prevent interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.
- The archive receives a claim later: Review the claim and the scope of your permission; livestream clearance does not automatically establish replay rights.
