To move a nonstop YouTube stream from Gyre to OneStream Live, reconnect the YouTube channel in OneStream, rebuild the video lineup and stream details, then schedule its 24/7 broadcast. OneStream’s documented 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires an Enterprise plan, and allows a maximum of 30 days per scheduled stream. Do not stop Gyre until you have confirmed the replacement is active in YouTube: the documented workflows do not promise an uninterrupted handoff.
What transfers—and what you need to rebuild
Treat this as a new broadcast setup, not an automatic account migration. Gyre describes a workflow that stores videos, arranges them into a looping playlist, connects YouTube, and schedules or starts a continuous stream. The available documentation does not establish that Gyre files, playlist order, schedule, subscription, or billing can be exported or imported into OneStream. Gyre Help Center
Before making changes, record the source videos and their playback order, plus the YouTube title, description, thumbnail, privacy, schedule, and destination event URL if there is one. Check file availability and billing questions with the services directly; portability and refunds are account-specific.
Move the stream to OneStream Live
- Confirm the plan and destination. OneStream’s documented 24/7 stream feature requires Enterprise and supports YouTube. Its maximum scheduled duration is 30 days. - Connect the YouTube channel. In OneStream, open Social Platforms, add or connect YouTube, choose the account and channel, and complete authorization. Confirm that you selected the intended channel before creating the stream. OneStream Live Help Center: Connect YouTube channel
- Gather the video files. OneStream’s 24/7 setup lets you select video content from a device, OneStream storage, or supported cloud storage. Add the videos and arrange them to match the desired playback order. Re-enter the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, and other stream details as needed; do not assume Gyre’s playlist or metadata will appear automatically. - Create and schedule the broadcast. In OneStream, choose Create → 24-hour Stream, add the video content, select the connected YouTube channel, and enter the stream details. Choose an immediate or future start, set a duration of no more than 30 days, then schedule the broadcast. Check the scheduled item in OneStream before the cutover.
- Decide whether to use an existing YouTube event. If keeping an existing event is important, OneStream documents a separate route: create a stream, choose a method, select Existing Event, pick the YouTube event, add video, review the stream details, and schedule it. - Review monetization and stream settings. OneStream lists monetization as a YouTube-only advanced setting when the channel supports it. Monetization is subject to the channel’s eligibility and settings; changing providers does not guarantee continued monetization. - Cut over only after verification. At the chosen time, check the YouTube event’s status and try playback using its public or unlisted viewing page. Verify the title and thumbnail, the intended event, and monetization settings where applicable. Keep Gyre running until OneStream’s scheduled or active stream is confirmed in YouTube; the two separate setup workflows do not document an atomic transfer or guaranteed gapless switch.
Can you keep the same YouTube live event?
Possibly, if you select OneStream’s Existing Event method and the intended event is available to select. OneStream documents sending a stream to an existing YouTube event, but its instructions do not establish that the same event URL will remain live seamlessly while you change providers. Confirm the event and playback in YouTube before stopping Gyre.

A direct channel-connected 24/7 stream and an encoder-based stream-key workflow are different setup paths. YouTube’s stream-key instructions concern sending a feed from an encoder; do not assume that entering a stream key is part of OneStream’s documented channel-connected 24/7 flow. What to verify before and after the switch
- Video lineup: The files are available to OneStream and play in the intended order.
- Broadcast details: The title, description, thumbnail, privacy, schedule, and YouTube destination are correct.
- Duration: The scheduled run is within OneStream’s 30-day maximum, with a renewal or rescheduling plan if needed.
- Event continuity: If using an existing event, the selected event is the intended one; verify its actual status and playback rather than assuming the URL or viewers carry over.
- Monetization: The relevant setting is available and enabled only if supported by the channel; confirm channel eligibility in YouTube Studio.
- Gyre account matters: Ask Gyre or OneStream support about file export, playlist portability, subscription cancellation, and any balance or refund. The available product documentation does not settle those account-specific questions.
