In LiveReacting, open your project’s Settings, edit Video Title under Primary Settings, then upload the YouTube thumbnail under Advanced Settings → Thumbnail and save. The image in Create Live Announcement is separate: it appears in the announcement, not as the YouTube thumbnail.
Change the title and thumbnail in LiveReacting
- Open the project. In LiveReacting, open the project for the YouTube stream and select the gear icon to open Settings.
- Edit the title. Under Primary Settings, change the Video Title field.
- Upload the thumbnail. Open Advanced Settings and upload the image under Thumbnail.
- Save. Save the settings so the changes are applied to the project.
LiveReacting also documents changing the title directly on YouTube while the stream is live or after it has ended. Its settings guide does not specify a YouTube menu path for that edit, so use the controls available for the stream in your YouTube account.
Thumbnail or announcement image: which one should you change?
These are separate image settings with different purposes:
- YouTube thumbnail: Upload it in LiveReacting under Advanced Settings → Thumbnail. LiveReacting says it is displayed while the stream is live or after the stream has been saved.
- Announcement image: Set it in Create Live Announcement. It is displayed as part of the announcement; changing it does not upload or replace the YouTube thumbnail.
If you need the same artwork in both places, update each control separately.

What changes for scheduled streams?
One-time YouTube event
For an event already scheduled on YouTube, LiveReacting documents connecting the project to that event through Advanced Settings → Connect to existing stream. Choose the existing event from the dropdown; LiveReacting says it pulls information such as the title and description from the channel.
Multi-date or repeat schedule
LiveReacting says title and description cannot be edited after a multi-date or repeat schedule has been created. Its documented procedure is to cancel the scheduled streams, update the settings, and reschedule them.

When changing a multi-date or repeat project, choose Apply changes to all scheduled streams if the update should reach every remaining stream. Without applying changes to all, edits may affect only the next scheduled stream, while the original scheduled settings may be restored for the others.
Troubleshooting
- The announcement has the new image, but YouTube does not. The announcement image and YouTube thumbnail are distinct. Upload the image in Advanced Settings → Thumbnail.
- The title change did not reach every scheduled stream. For a multi-date or repeat project, check whether you applied changes to all scheduled streams. If the title cannot be edited because the streams are already scheduled, cancel them, make the change, and reschedule.
- The project should use an event already scheduled on YouTube. Connect it through Advanced Settings → Connect to existing stream and select the event from the dropdown.
- The title needs changing during or after a broadcast. LiveReacting says the title can also be modified directly on YouTube while live or after the stream ends.
LiveReacting’s published help material does not give a precise Studio version number, and interface labels can change. The steps above reflect its official help guidance checked on October 3, 2026.
