There is no universally best webinar platform for finance professionals. ON24 is the clearest finance-focused candidate in this shortlist because it explicitly markets webinar and digital-engagement services to financial-services organizations. GoTo Webinar, Zoom Webinars, and Webex Webinars are general-purpose alternatives worth assessing against your audience size, event workflow, integrations, and control requirements. None of the available product information proves that a platform meets your firm’s legal or regulatory obligations; validate the selected configuration, contract, and operating processes with your compliance, privacy, and security teams.

Shortlist: four platforms to evaluate

This is a feature-and-fit comparison based on vendor materials, not independent testing. Treat each vendor’s statements as product claims, and confirm current capabilities, plan limits, and costs directly before choosing.

Platform Evidence-supported fit What to confirm before buying
ON24 ON24 explicitly describes webinar and digital-engagement use for financial services, including engagement data, integrations, multilingual content, and security and compliance features. Current pricing and limits; the exact security and compliance capabilities available to your plan; data handling, privacy, recording and retention; and your required integrations.
GoTo Webinar Its pricing page lists participant tiers and capabilities including reporting, reminders, polls, and live Q&A. Current tier and capacity, billing terms, support, integrations, recording and retention controls, and whether the selected configuration satisfies internal requirements.
Zoom Webinars Zoom offers a webinar product. Its 2025 vendor-authored roundup provides feature context across webinar services. Current plan and total cost, registration and interaction options, integrations, data and recording controls, and firm policy. Do not rely on historical prices in the roundup.
Webex Webinars Cisco’s feature page describes webinar interaction options and identifies security and compliance as product feature categories. The exact plan and included capabilities, support, integrations, attendee experience, retention, and controls for the intended deployment.

The table is a starting shortlist, not a feature-count ranking or a compliance endorsement. A vendor’s mention of security or compliance features does not establish that a particular service, plan, configuration, or contract meets a particular firm’s obligations.

How to choose for your finance workflow

Start with the event and its audience

Define whether you are hosting occasional educational sessions, recurring adviser briefings, investor or client events, or a global program. Estimate attendance, locations, languages, registration needs, and the level of interaction. For a smaller team, setup effort and predictable plan costs may carry more weight. For a global institutional program, workflow integrations, audience data, languages, scale, and enterprise controls may matter more. These are decision criteria, not measured product rankings.

Map the workflow from invitation to follow-up

  • Registration: Check how invitations, registration, reminders, and attendee communications fit your existing process.
  • Live interaction: Confirm the specific tools you need, such as polls, Q&A, or other audience participation, and who can moderate them.
  • Analytics and follow-up: Find out what engagement and attendance data is available, how it can be exported or used, and which teams may access it.
  • Business systems: Validate that the exact CRM and marketing-automation integrations you use are supported in the plan and configuration under consideration.
  • Production and accessibility: Check presenter and moderator workflows, multilingual delivery needs, attendee experience, and any accessibility requirements your organization applies.

Make control owners part of the evaluation

Ask your compliance, information-security, privacy, and records-management teams to translate firm policy and applicable jurisdictional obligations into requirements for the proposed use. Then ask the vendor to document how the intended product configuration and contract address those requirements. Verify the specific details rather than inferring suitability from a general product label or feature category:

  • What attendee, registration, chat, question, poll, and analytics data is collected, and how is it handled?
  • What recording, retention, deletion, export, and access-control options are available for the plan you would buy?
  • Which integrations are supported, and what information passes between systems?
  • What security and compliance controls apply to your selected deployment, and what documentation can the vendor provide?
  • What support and operational responsibilities apply during an event and when a recording or data issue arises?

Record the answers and have the relevant internal owners approve the planned configuration and operating process. The sources available for these platforms do not establish that any one meets a specific firm’s requirements.

Platform notes

ON24: the most directly finance-focused option in this shortlist

ON24’s financial-services page describes webinar and digital-engagement use for the sector, including engagement analytics, CRM and marketing-automation integrations, multilingual content, and security and compliance features. Those descriptions are ON24’s own claims; they are not independent certification or proof of suitability for your firm. Request current plan details and evidence for the exact controls, integrations, data handling, and retention requirements you need.

The same ON24 page publishes a customer testimonial from Danielle Felix, Marketing & Communications Specialist: “Instead of following up with all of the webinar attendees, we can identify and prioritise those advisers who want to be contacted. It sounds very simple, but it has been critically effective for us.” This is an ON24-published customer statement, not independent validation of results.

GoTo Webinar: compare tiers against event needs

GoTo’s pricing page lists plan features such as organizer seats, participant limits, reporting and analytics, reminders and follow-ups, polls, and live Q&A. Since pricing and product details can change, verify the current tier, capacity, billing terms, and inclusion of each feature you need. Also check its recording and retention options and precise security and integration details with the vendor and your internal control owners.

Zoom Webinars: evaluate the current product, not an old price quote

Zoom offers a webinar product, and its 2025 roundup compares webinar services and provides feature and pricing context. Because prices in a dated roundup may no longer be current, use it for orientation rather than budgeting. Confirm today’s plan, cost, registration and interaction options, integrations, and recording and data controls directly with Zoom.

Webex Webinars: verify what applies to your deployment

Cisco’s Webex Webinars feature page includes interaction options and security and compliance as product feature categories. Those categories do not, by themselves, demonstrate that a specific plan or deployment meets your obligations. Ask Cisco to confirm which capabilities are available in the plan and configuration you are considering, then validate the details with your security, privacy, and compliance teams.

Compare total cost and operational fit

Do not compare platforms on a headline plan price alone. Request a current quote or plan breakdown for the expected audience and event schedule, then include the costs and work associated with the broader workflow.

  • Organizer seats and the staff time needed to prepare, moderate, and follow up after events.
  • Required integrations and any services or additional products needed to support them.
  • Recording storage, retention, access, and export needs.
  • Support arrangements and the internal work needed to approve, configure, and operate the service.

Ask each vendor to price the same scenario—for example, the same audience estimate, number of organizers, event frequency, recording policy, and integrations. The available vendor pages do not establish comparable current total costs across these products.

A practical evaluation sequence

  1. Write down the use case. Specify event type, expected audience, frequency, locations, languages, registration workflow, interaction needs, and follow-up process.
  2. Set mandatory controls. Have compliance, security, privacy, and records-management owners identify the requirements that must be met for your jurisdiction and firm policy.
  3. Ask vendors the same questions. Request current plan limits, pricing, integration details, recording and retention controls, data-handling information, security documentation, and support terms for the intended configuration.
  4. Walk through a representative event. Evaluate presenter, moderator, and attendee workflows, as well as the handling of registration and post-event data.
  5. Review the proposed contract and configuration. Have the appropriate control owners confirm the documentation and operating arrangements before adoption.
  6. Choose against the real workflow. Select the platform that meets the mandatory controls and best fits the event and team—not the one with the longest feature list.

When a webinar platform is not the right tool

A live webinar is designed around a scheduled event and audience interaction. If your separate goal is to keep a prerecorded video looping as a continuous YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a different kind of service, not a webinar platform. You upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; StreamNeo loops uploaded video from the cloud, so a computer does not have to stay on. It does not go live from a camera, and it should not be treated as a substitute for webinar registration, live audience interaction, or the workflow controls described above.
