For remote interviews, client testimonials, webinars, or repeatable social content, evaluate Riverside: its business offering describes separate local participant tracks, producer controls, and editing tools. For quick screen-and-camera walkthroughs, client feedback, or product demos, Loom’s capture-to-share-link workflow is a closer fit. These are workflow recommendations based on the vendors’ published descriptions, not independent performance rankings.
Start with the kind of recording your agency needs
“Video recording software” covers two different jobs. One is capturing a screen, camera, or both, then sending a recording for someone to watch. The other is producing a multi-person conversation or event with separate participant audio and video, producer controls, and material for editing afterward. Choosing for the wrong job can leave you with a simple share link when you need production control—or a larger production workflow for a quick explanation.
- Async explanations and screen walkthroughs: prioritize fast capture, a simple upload, and easy sharing.
- Interviews, testimonials, and client stories: examine how participants are recorded, whether their tracks are separate, and how much editorial control is available afterward.
- Webinars and recurring branded content: consider producer controls, registration features, brand consistency, and how projects can be organized by client or show.
Before selecting a tool, compare the number and type of recordings you make, who needs access, guest participation, editing and repurposing needs, integrations, publishing destinations, storage, and the full cost for agency seats and client workspaces. The product pages cited here do not establish an independent performance ranking or a universal best choice.
Shortlist by agency workflow
Riverside: evaluate for remote production
Riverside’s business page explicitly names Marketing and Producer & Media Agencies. It describes local participant recordings in separate tracks, with up to 4K video and uncompressed audio; producer controls for guest microphones, cameras, presentations, and teleprompters; text-based editing; async guest recording; webinar registration features; integrations; and brand kits. The page also says studios can be separated by show, channel, or client, with studio counts depending on plan. These are Riverside’s descriptions of its offering, not independently tested results. See Riverside’s business page for the current details.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
This makes Riverside a candidate to assess when an agency needs more than a screen capture: for example, separate participant material for a client interview, a testimonial, a webinar, or a series of social videos. Check whether the plan you are considering includes the particular studio, branding, production, and editing capabilities your team needs.
Loom: evaluate for fast async screen and camera capture
Loom’s screen recorder page documents recording a screen, webcam, or both, editing, automatic upload, and a share link. It presents explainers, team updates, prospect introductions, and product demos as use cases. That flow suits agencies that often need to show a client or colleague what is on screen without arranging a full remote production session. Loom’s page says its free recordings support up to 720p; treat that as a vendor-stated plan specification and confirm current plan terms before choosing. See Loom’s screen recorder page.

Loom documents support for Mac, Windows, its Chrome extension, iOS, and Android, with platform version requirements on its page. Confirm compatibility for the specific devices and versions your team uses. During setup, Loom says to select a connected audio device; a separate microphone can be useful for presenter narration, but the cited instructions do not establish a particular microphone as required or universally compatible.
OBS Studio: investigate separately if you need a desktop option
OBS Studio is an open-source desktop recording and streaming option to investigate, but the available official homepage information does not establish feature details for a meaningful comparison here. Check the OBS Project’s current official feature and platform documentation before deciding whether it fits your capture, editing, and team-sharing workflow. No comparative rank or specification is assigned here.

Compare production control, sharing, and client workflows
Use these distinctions to shortlist tools against your actual process. A capability described by a vendor is not the same as an independent test of how well it performs in your agency’s conditions.
| Decision point | Riverside | Loom |
|---|---|---|
| Documented capture workflow | Remote participant recording, including local recordings in separate tracks (Riverside description). | Screen, webcam, or combined recording (Loom description). |
| Post-recording workflow | Text-based editing is described on the business page. | Editing and automatic upload followed by a share link are described on the screen recorder page. |
| Production controls | Producer controls for guest microphones, cameras, presentations, and teleprompters are described. | Not stated on the cited screen recorder page. |
| Branding and client organization | Brand kits and studios separated by show, channel, or client are described; studio counts depend on plan. | Not stated on the cited screen recorder page. |
| Webinar workflow | Webinar registration features are described; Business events are listed with a limit of up to 10,000 registrants. | Not stated on the cited screen recorder page. |
| Published free-plan video limit | Not stated on the cited business page. | Up to 720p, as stated on Loom’s page. |
For Riverside, the separate-track and quality details are vendor claims: its business page says local recordings support up to 4K video and uncompressed audio. For Loom, the cited page establishes the screen-and-camera capture and sharing flow, but does not establish equivalent remote-production controls. Do not treat an unstated capability as proof that a product cannot do something; verify the current product documentation and plan details for any must-have feature.

Check the computer and connection requirements
Riverside’s business page recommends a computer with at least eight physical processing cores for video recordings, an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, and Chrome or Edge, alongside supported operating systems. These are Riverside’s recommendations for its workflow, not universal minimums for all recording software. Check the page for the supported operating systems and confirm that each host or producer meets the requirements before scheduling a client session.
Loom’s cited page lists Mac, Windows, Chrome extension, iOS, and Android support and gives platform version requirements. Because device and version support can change, check those requirements against the team’s actual computers and phones rather than assuming every listed platform supports every feature identically.

Compare plan costs and agency-level limits
Riverside’s business page listed the following plan prices when reviewed in 2026. The page’s prices and entitlements may vary by billing cadence or region, and can change; confirm current pricing and limits on the official page before budgeting.
| Riverside tier | Price shown on business page | Relevant qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Detailed plan limits are not stated here. |
| Pro | $24/month | Confirm current entitlements and billing terms on the official page. |
| Live | $34/month | Confirm current entitlements and billing terms on the official page. |
| Webinar | $79/month | Confirm current entitlements and billing terms on the official page. |
| Business | Custom pricing | The page describes unlimited multitrack recording and storage, Producer Mode, SSO, role-based permissions, and events with up to 10,000 registrants. |
Those figures and Business entitlements are vendor-published details from Riverside’s business page, not a verified quote for a particular agency. Loom’s cited screen recorder page establishes that its free recordings support up to 720p, but does not provide enough plan-pricing detail for a like-for-like cost table here. Check the current plan pages for pricing, seat counts, storage, recording limits, client access, and any billing conditions that affect your total.
Make a workflow-based choice
- Choose the recording format first. If the core job is remote interviews, testimonials, webinars, or content requiring separate participant tracks, assess Riverside’s described production workflow. If it is a quick screen or camera walkthrough that needs to be uploaded and shared, assess Loom’s documented flow.
- List must-have controls. Write down whether you need producer controls, separate tracks, text-based editing, client-level branding, or webinar registration. Match each requirement to the current plan rather than assuming it is included at every tier.
- Test a representative client task. Before standardizing, run the kind of recording your team will actually make: invite the kind of guest you expect, capture the relevant screen or conversation, review the edit and sharing steps, and confirm the deliverable works for the intended client workflow.
- Budget for the whole agency workflow. Include seats, plan limits, storage, client or show separation, and the time needed to edit and share—not just the headline subscription price.
- Verify support and requirements before a scheduled session. Check current OS and browser support, recommended computer and connection requirements, and the features available on the selected plan.
Keep recording separate from always-on YouTube playback
Recording software captures material; it is not the same job as keeping a prerecorded video live on YouTube around the clock. If an agency also has a legitimate, rights-cleared library of uploaded videos it wants to loop as a YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud service—not a screen recorder, interview tool, or camera-based live production system. It plays uploaded videos to YouTube, not to other platforms.
- Upload a recording or build a playlist.
- Add the YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so a computer and home connection do not need to remain on.
Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Whatever you upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers. The first day is free with no card, with one free day per account; the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Shorter or longer billing options are available, and UPI works in India; cards are accepted in India and worldwide card checkout is available. Review StreamNeo plans, then start the free day if this separate YouTube playback workflow fits your use case. For copyright and channel-policy checks, use YouTube’s current rules and review StreamNeo’s copyright safety checklist.
Quick Recap
Questions to settle before standardizing
- Will clients need to join a recording? If yes, evaluate guest participation and producer controls in the workflow you plan to use, not only the finished video.
- Will the same content be made for several clients or shows? Check how the selected plan handles workspaces, studio separation, branding, and permissions.
- Will you repurpose recordings? Confirm that the available editing and export workflow supports your intended outputs; do not infer features from a product category label.
- Can the agency make and share a representative recording before a production deadline? Confirm device compatibility, audio input, upload, and review steps with the people who will actually use the tool.
