Before accepting a deal, check its deliverables, timeline, payment, usage rights, exclusivity, and cancellation terms—and disclose the relationship clearly to viewers.
How do I get sponsors as a streamer?
- Clarify your channel’s fit. Describe what you stream, what your community cares about, and which products or categories genuinely suit your content.
- Make your work easy to assess. Keep your creator profile current and collect relevant clips that show your on-stream style, including sponsored examples if you have them.
- Look for campaigns through multiple routes. Use Twitch’s sponsorship tools if you stream there, check campaign partners, and approach well-matched brands directly.
- Send a specific pitch. Explain the fit and propose a realistic campaign, with deliverables and timing you can meet.
- Review the terms before accepting. Confirm compensation, content requirements, deadlines, usage rights, exclusivity, payment schedule, and what happens if plans change.
- Disclose the relationship. Follow the streaming platform’s branded-content rules and applicable advertising requirements where you and your viewers are located.
There is no universal follower threshold or standard sponsorship rate established by Twitch’s published campaign information. Brand criteria and campaign terms vary, so avoid relying on a generic audience-size benchmark.
Can small streamers get sponsors?
Potentially. Twitch announced on August 20, 2026, that Affiliates can access select campaigns when they meet the brand’s criteria; Affiliates must accept the sponsorship portal terms and complete Creator Sponsorship Certification. That is a Twitch-specific eligibility update, not a promise that every Affiliate—or every small streamer—will receive an offer. See Twitch’s August 20, 2026 announcement for the stated change.
Twitch also said that more than 50% of participating paid streamers in the Minecraft campaigns it named were Affiliates. That figure describes those participating streamers in those campaigns only; it is not an industry-wide sponsorship rate or an estimate of an individual creator’s chances.

How do I make my channel discoverable to brands?
Complete your Twitch Creator Profile
For Twitch creators, open Creator Dashboard > Monetization > Sponsorships, accept the portal terms, and complete your Creator Profile. Twitch describes the profile as a professional showcase for channel information, interests, profile image, and audience demographic data. The company says completed profiles increase the chance of receiving opportunities; they do not guarantee selection. Twitch may notify you when an opportunity matches your profile, but the brand’s criteria determine whether you are invited. Show how you make content
Twitch’s 2026 update says creators can feature and customize clips in Sponsorship Highlights. Choose clips that represent your usual tone and show how you communicate with viewers. If you have not done a brand integration before, do not imply that you have; use relevant unsponsored clips to demonstrate your format instead.
Where do Twitch streamers find brand deals?
Twitch’s sponsorship dashboard is one route, not the only one. Twitch has named StreamElements and Wehype as campaign discovery partners: its 2025 announcement described StreamElements offers, and its 2026 update identified Wehype campaigns, including an EA Battlefield example. Campaign availability is not guaranteed, and offers depend on campaign and brand criteria.

Twitch says its platform tools complement other ways of finding sponsorships. You can also contact brands directly when there is a credible connection to your games, content, or community. A brand that already serves your audience is a stronger prospect than a long list of unrelated companies. Twitch’s sources do not establish universal rates, minimum audience sizes, or standard acceptance odds.

A useful pitch lets a brand quickly understand your channel, the audience fit, and what you can deliver. This is a practical checklist, not a required Twitch form or a guaranteed formula.

- Relevant audience information: audience demographics or interests you can substantiate, plus context that helps a brand judge fit.
- Performance context: recent, accurately described channel or content performance. State the time period and use figures you can verify; do not inflate numbers or imply guaranteed results.
- Reason for contacting the brand: explain why its product or service makes sense for your viewers.
- A campaign idea: outline how a placement or activation could work in your content, without claiming product experience you do not have.
- Proposed deliverables and timing: specify what you would make or say, where it would appear, and when you could deliver it.
- Relevant clips: link examples that show your content and delivery, including sponsored work only if you have actually done it.
Keep the proposal tailored. A generic mass pitch gives a brand little reason to believe you understand its audience or can execute a suitable campaign.
What should I check before accepting a sponsorship?
Read the campaign details and payout information before accepting. Twitch’s campaign flow includes those details, but the published sources do not set standard contract language or a universal minimum payment. Ask for anything unclear in writing.

How do I disclose a sponsorship on stream?
On Twitch, branded content includes content featuring a product or service in exchange for value, such as money or goods or services. Twitch says creators producing branded content must use its disclosure tool and ensure that the promotion is permitted. Check the current Twitch Branded Content Guidelines for the platform’s requirements and edge cases.

For U.S. audiences and creators subject to U.S. rules, FTC staff guidance says to disclose a material connection—such as payment, free or discounted products, employment, or other value—clearly alongside the endorsement. Use plain language such as “ad” or “sponsored,” and repeat the disclosure periodically during a livestream so people who join late see it. The FTC says a platform disclosure tool alone may not be enough; creators remain responsible for disclosure. See the FTC’s Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers.
Be honest about your experience: do not say you tried a product if you have not, and do not make unsupported product claims. The FTC material is U.S.-focused, not a universal rulebook; check applicable requirements for the places where you and your audience operate. Does streaming software get you sponsorships?
No software or piece of gear can guarantee a sponsorship. A streaming setup may help you produce content, but the central work is making your channel and audience fit clear, finding relevant campaigns, proposing deliverables you can fulfill, and handling the deal and disclosures responsibly.
