A phone number can verify no more than two YouTube channels per year. If it has already been used for two channels during the applicable annual period, YouTube says to use a different number. Sharing a number does not automatically make either channel eligible to livestream: each channel must meet YouTube’s requirements independently.
What the two-channel limit means
YouTube’s account-verification guidance says, “To help prevent abuse, a phone number can only be associated with 2 channels per year.” The limit applies to phone verification, not to the number of channels that may otherwise share contact details. If YouTube says the maximum number of channels has been verified, that number cannot verify another channel during the applicable annual period; use a different number instead. YouTube’s verification guidance gives this remedy.
The cap does not confer livestream access on every channel using the number. Check eligibility and verification for the specific channel you want to stream from.
Requirements that apply to YouTube live streaming
YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. The person livestreaming must be at least 16 years old. These requirements apply independently of whether another channel shares the phone number. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
A restriction on one account cannot be evaded by switching to another channel while the restriction is active. YouTube’s policy guidance addresses restrictions and circumvention.
Extra requirements for mobile livestreaming
Mobile streaming has additional requirements; the 50-subscriber threshold is not a general requirement for every way of livestreaming.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- The channel has at least 50 subscribers.
- The channel is verified and has live streaming turned on.
- The channel has no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days.
- You use a compatible mobile device.
YouTube says activation of a first mobile livestream may take up to 24 hours. Check YouTube’s mobile live-streaming requirements if the feature is not available yet.
Check or complete verification for the right channel
- Open YouTube Studio for the channel you intend to stream from. Use the channel switcher if necessary; do not rely on another channel’s verification status.
- Check feature eligibility. In YouTube Studio, open Settings > Channel > Feature eligibility and review the channel’s status.
- Complete phone verification if prompted. Follow YouTube’s official verification flow for that channel. If the number has already been associated with two channels during the year, provide a different number.
- Confirm livestream access separately. Check that live streaming is enabled and that the channel has no active live restriction. For mobile streaming, also confirm the subscriber threshold and allow for the possible activation delay.
YouTube says Brand Account owners and managers can verify the channel. For a channel that is not a Brand Account, only its owner can verify it. See YouTube’s verification instructions.

Troubleshoot common verification and access problems
YouTube says the number has been used too many times
This is the annual two-channel phone-verification cap. Use a different phone number, as YouTube instructs. Sharing a number between channels does not override that limit.
The verification code does not arrive
Try text-message delivery or request a voice call. If neither arrives, YouTube suggests trying a number from a different carrier, since some carriers do not support Google messages. Follow the options in YouTube’s verification guidance.

The channel is verified but cannot livestream
Verification is only one part of eligibility. Check the channel’s recent live-streaming restriction status and the minimum age requirement. If you are trying to stream from a phone, confirm the separate mobile requirements, including at least 50 subscribers and that mobile live streaming has been activated.
The first mobile stream is not available yet
YouTube says enabling a first mobile livestream can take up to 24 hours. If it remains unavailable after that, recheck the channel’s verification, subscriber count, live-streaming restrictions, and feature status.

Account-specific status is best checked in YouTube
Public guidance explains the general limits, but it cannot show whether a particular number has already been associated with two channels during the relevant year or whether a specific channel currently has live access. The channel’s Feature eligibility page and YouTube’s official verification flow are the practical places to check that status.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your channel is eligible and you want uploaded videos to keep a YouTube livestream running without leaving a computer on, StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed, and streams to YouTube.
- Nothing has to stay on at home; the stream runs from the cloud.
- Your upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot.
- StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card.
The monthly option is $9.99 per month. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start your free first day.
