To repeat a YouTube playlist on a Chromebook, open a video from that playlist in YouTube, expand the playlist panel beside the player, and click Loop. To repeat only the current video, right-click inside the player and choose Loop instead. An active live broadcast cannot be replayed from its beginning just by turning on playlist loop; for an ended broadcast, you need an available replay video.
Loop a whole YouTube playlist on a Chromebook
- Open YouTube in your Chromebook browser and go to a video that belongs to the playlist you want to repeat.
- Find the playlist panel beside the video player. If it is collapsed or not visible, expand the playlist panel.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. YouTube will repeat the playlist continuously.
The playlist control repeats the videos in the playlist, rather than just restarting the video currently playing.
Loop only the current video
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Choose Loop from the menu.
This repeats the current video, not the full playlist.
What changes when the video is a YouTube Live stream?
While the broadcast is live
A live stream is a real-time broadcast, not a completed video that you can restart from its beginning using playlist loop. YouTube Live DVR may let you pause, rewind, and resume a live stream, but it does not let you seek to a point before the stream began. DVR may also be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours.

After the broadcast ends
The channel may post a replay or highlights as videos, but a replay is not guaranteed. To loop an ended live event, first check whether the channel has made a replay available. If it has, open the replay and use the playlist loop steps above; the replay must be included in the playlist for the playlist to repeat it.
YouTube says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Check the channel for an available replay rather than assuming the broadcast was saved.
