You can loop a regional-language playlist while watching YouTube, but YouTube’s playlist Loop control does not turn it into a live broadcast. To repeat the playlist for yourself, use the Loop control in its playlist panel on desktop or Android. To broadcast its music as a YouTube Live stream, choose a live-streaming method and confirm you have the necessary rights first; YouTube may interrupt or terminate streams containing unlicensed third-party material.
Choose what you mean by “loop on YouTube Live”
There are two different outcomes:
- Repeat a playlist while watching: use YouTube’s playlist Loop control. This repeats playback for the viewer; it does not create a live stream.
- Broadcast playlist music as a live stream: use a supported live-streaming method, such as mobile, webcam, encoder, or console, and resolve rights for the music before going live. YouTube’s reviewed instructions do not document a native workflow that sends a looping playlist directly into a live broadcast.
YouTube’s playlist looping instructions and live-streaming setup guidance describe these as separate features.
Loop the playlist while watching
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel so its controls are visible.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. YouTube will repeat the playlist during playback.
The Loop control repeats the playlist, not a live broadcast. These steps are for watching the playlist on YouTube.
On Android
- Start a video from the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the playlist control box to repeat the playlist.
- If you want to repeat only the current video rather than the full playlist, tap Loop again to select the one-video repeat state.

Broadcast music as a YouTube Live stream
The playlist Loop button alone does not broadcast anything. YouTube describes mobile, webcam, encoder, and console as live-streaming routes; choose according to the device and production workflow you intend to use. Its computer webcam route requires a webcam, but that requirement applies only to that route. The reviewed setup guidance does not provide enough detail to rank the routes or establish an India-specific best option.
Before setting up a broadcast, confirm that you have the rights to use every track in a live stream. A playlist being public or playable on YouTube does not establish permission to rebroadcast it.

Check music rights before going live
- YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If copyrighted material remains after a warning, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
- YouTube’s live-stream terms make the provider responsible for necessary rights, including music licensing rights, and for meeting applicable requirements in the territory of the stream. The terms state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” Read the official live-stream terms.
- A licence may not, by itself, prevent a Content ID match from interrupting a stream. YouTube says a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Territory restrictions alone do not ensure the stream will continue.
- The reviewed official sources do not establish permissions for any particular regional-language song or resolve the rights required for a specific use in India. Confirm the permissions for your own tracks and intended use with the relevant rights holders.
Do not rely on Creator Music for a live playlist
YouTube’s Creator Music guidance says its tracks are for long-form videos and cannot be used in live streams. The page also says Creator Music is available to U.S. creators in the YouTube Partner Program, with expansion to YPP creators outside the U.S. pending. It is not a basis for clearing a live playlist from India.
