To run Amrit Vela Gurbani on YouTube around the clock, choose either a live, authorized feed from a Gurdwara or authorized prerecorded programming, connect that source through an encoder, verify the channel’s live-stream eligibility, clear the rights, and test the complete setup privately. A continuous schedule also needs a named person or service responsible for noticing interruptions and restoring the feed; neither a YouTube event nor an encoder is guaranteed to stay live indefinitely.
Choose between a live Gurdwara feed and prerecorded programming
The source determines what must be available throughout the broadcast, how the signal reaches the encoder, who can respond to a failure, and what permissions you need. These are planning considerations, not separate YouTube requirements.
| Source model | What you need to arrange | Continuity considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Live Gurdwara feed | Permission from the venue and an authorized audio output from its sound system. Add a camera or other video source if the stream will include video. | The venue source and the connection to the encoder must remain available. Decide who at the Gurdwara or on the streaming team will monitor and restore the feed. |
| Prerecorded programming | Permission for each recording and every included musical work, plus a computer or service that can send the authorized program to YouTube. | Decide who will check the stream and restart or escalate problems. A loop can reduce the need for a live venue feed, but it does not remove rights or monitoring responsibilities. |
For either model, identify the feed owner and the person responsible for recovery before scheduling a 24/7 run. For a Gurdwara, trace the actual audio output before buying equipment: the existing sound system may need an audio interface, preamp, microphone, or cabling, but the right setup depends on what the venue already has.
Check that the YouTube channel can go live
YouTube’s current eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified, must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and must be operated by someone at least 16 years old. YouTube for Artists advises enabling live streams at least 24 hours before going live. Review YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements and the latest guidance before launch, because platform rules can change.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Clear rights for the actual recordings and music
Having permission to broadcast from a venue does not by itself establish that you have rights to every recording or musical work in the program. Confirm authorization for the actual audio and video you plan to transmit, whether it is captured live or prerecorded.
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A matched stream may be replaced by a placeholder, and unresolved third-party content can lead to temporary interruption or termination. If you have licensed third-party content, ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license alone may not prevent an automated disruption. YouTube for Artists also recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using protected music: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” See YouTube’s guidance on live-streaming restrictions and YouTube for Artists’ live-stream guidance.

Connect the source to YouTube with an encoder
YouTube supports encoder-based streaming; it does not require a dedicated hardware encoder. An encoder may be software running on a computer or a hardware device. YouTube positions encoders as useful when a stream uses external equipment such as microphones, cameras, or preamps. Pick one that accepts your source and that an assigned operator can configure and troubleshoot.
- Prepare the signal. For a venue broadcast, send the authorized sound-system output—and video, if applicable—to the encoder. For prerecorded programming, make the authorized file or playlist available to the encoder or cloud service that will transmit it.
- Create the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and select the encoder workflow. Use the stream key and ingest details shown for that stream in YouTube Studio; treat the key as a credential and do not share it publicly.
- Match the encoder to YouTube’s current settings. Follow the current YouTube encoder settings and the instructions for the specific encoder and ingest protocol selected. YouTube recommends RTMPS in its settings guidance. HLS is also documented for compatible encoders and has its own format and segment requirements. RTMPS and HLS settings are not interchangeable, so use the protocol-specific instructions rather than copying settings from a different workflow.
- Check the incoming picture and sound. Confirm the encoder is sending the intended source, that audio is present and intelligible, and that the picture is correct if the stream includes video. Use the protocol and settings guidance in Google’s YouTube Live ingestion protocol documentation for the selected connection.
A dedicated hardware video streaming encoder is an option if you want a standalone device, not a universal requirement. Before choosing one, check that it supports the selected ingest protocol and has the audio and video inputs your signal path actually needs.

Test privately before announcing the stream
Run a private test of the complete chain, from source through encoder to YouTube Studio. Google’s checklist recommends testing the full setup as a private stream. Confirm that the intended source reaches the encoder, the encoder reaches YouTube, and the resulting stream has the expected sound and, if applicable, picture. Consult the encoder setup guidance and YouTube’s live-streaming checklist.
- For a live venue feed, test the actual sound-system output and any camera feed you intend to use.
- For prerecorded programming, test the intended file or playlist and verify that it plays as expected through the encoder or service.
- Check that the stream key and ingest settings belong to the stream you are testing.
- Watch and listen to the YouTube output rather than assuming a successful encoder connection guarantees a usable public stream.
Assign monitoring and recovery responsibility
A 24/7 schedule needs an explicit owner for checking the stream and acting if it stops. Decide how the responsible person will notice an interruption, who can access the encoder and YouTube Studio, and whether the response is to restart the source, restart the encoder, or escalate a venue or rights issue. Those are operational choices; YouTube’s published checklist does not prescribe a particular failover design or guarantee that one live event will continue indefinitely.

For authorized prerecorded programming, StreamNeo is a cloud option for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on YouTube. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the uploaded program from the cloud, so no home computer or internet connection has to stay on. Each slot supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and StreamNeo can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded videos streamed to YouTube, not a live camera feed; you still need rights to everything in the program.
