To keep Gujarati bhajans available on YouTube around the clock, build a rights-cleared playlist, enable live streaming on your verified channel, and send it through an encoder or a cloud playout service. For a local setup, your computer, encoder, power and internet connection must keep working; schedule monitored stream segments rather than assuming one broadcast can run forever. Prepare the channel and the bhajan library
Enable YouTube Live before launch
Your channel must be verified and must not have live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Enable live streaming in advance: YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Check that the feature is active before planning a public start.

Choose content you are allowed to stream
Use original performances made for the channel, or recordings and visuals for which you have documented permission. A bhajan being traditional does not automatically make a particular modern recording, arrangement or video free to use. Check that permission covers online live streaming, relevant territories, and any archive or replay use you intend to allow. Keep the records accessible to whoever manages the channel.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, trigger a warning or interrupt or terminate the broadcast. A license does not necessarily prevent a Content ID interruption: the rights holder may also need to allowlist your channel through Content ID.

Make the channel’s contribution clear
Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate. YouTube reviews reused content at the channel level, apart from copyright enforcement. Its policy renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” in a July 15, 2025 update, clarifying that repetitive or mass-produced material is ineligible under that policy. Original performances, meaningful editorial or educational context, and clear information about who performed and produced the material help viewers understand what your channel adds; permission alone does not guarantee monetization.
Set up a local encoder step by step
- Verify channel access. Confirm the channel is verified, live streaming is enabled, and no current restriction prevents the planned broadcast. Leave time for first-time activation.
- Prepare a tested playlist. Check each file from beginning to end, arrange the sequence and transitions, and ensure the visuals and audio are rights-cleared. Decide what viewers should see if a segment ends or the encoder needs a restart.
- Create the stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Create or schedule the stream, then copy the server URL and stream key shown there into your encoder’s YouTube/RTMP destination fields. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders. Treat the key like a password; reset it if it is exposed.
- Choose a format your upload connection can sustain. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS delivery, H.264, H.265 or AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, and constant bitrate (CBR). Use YouTube’s resolution-specific bitrate guidance for the resolution you select; do not choose a bitrate just because it is a common setting if your sustained upload cannot support it. The guidance recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds.
- Run a private or otherwise controlled test. Confirm that the picture, Gujarati audio, levels, playlist transitions and stream health are acceptable before public launch. Test the actual connection and equipment you will use unattended, not only a short desktop preview.
- Plan segments and restarts. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish a single stream as a safe indefinite 24/7 operation, nor promise a complete archive of an endless broadcast. Schedule segments shorter than 12 hours, with a planned restart gap or a tested handoff, and arrange monitoring and contingency coverage.
- Publish clear Gujarati metadata. Use an accurate title and description, identify performers and the recording source, and maintain a visible schedule. Say plainly whether viewers are seeing a live performance or prerecorded bhajans being played as a live stream.
Keep a local broadcast recoverable
A 24/7 schedule is only as resilient as its encoder, power and internet connection. Assign someone to monitor the broadcast or define a recovery procedure before launch. Keep the playlist and stream configuration available to the person covering the channel, and know how to restart the encoder and reconnect it to YouTube if a failure occurs.

- Encoder or computer stops: restore the device or software, then reconnect using the stream configuration in Live Control Room.
- Internet or power fails: restore connectivity or power before resuming; a local encoder cannot send a feed while either is unavailable.
- YouTube reports a content match: follow the warning, review the identified material and rights documentation, and resolve the rights issue. Do not assume that restarting alone clears a match.
- Archive is incomplete or unavailable: treat the live archive as a convenience, not your sole master copy. Keep source recordings and any required replay files separately.
