Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →For a YouTube Live radio playlist, a cloud service can keep the broadcast running without leaving a computer at home online—but it cannot license the music or guarantee that YouTube will allow the stream to continue. StreamNeo is the first service to consider for a cloud-based YouTube loop: upload your video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It runs uploaded videos rather than a live camera feed. Before streaming, confirm that your permissions cover the music, live broadcast, territories, and any archive, and coordinate Content ID allowlisting with the relevant rightsholders.
What “licensed” needs to mean for a YouTube Live radio stream
A cloud encoder solves a delivery problem, not a rights problem. YouTube’s livestream terms make the creator responsible for having the necessary rights for the live content worldwide, including music rights involving artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants. They also put applicable territorial licensing and regulatory requirements on the creator. Read YouTube’s livestream terms.
Do not assume a subscription to a consumer music service, a general-purpose music license, or a license for ordinary public performance automatically covers broadcasting a playlist as a public YouTube Live stream. The actual permissions depend on the music, rightsholders, territories and your agreements. If the stream is archived, check whether those permissions also cover the resulting recording or VOD.
- Get written permission for the specific live-stream use and the territories where it will be available.
- Check whether the permission covers any YouTube archive or VOD, not just the live transmission.
- Ask the relevant rightsholders, label or distributor to allowlist your YouTube channel in Content ID when required.
YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with a label or distributor when using copyright-protected music in a live stream. Its guidance also reports that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025; that is audience context, not a forecast for a radio playlist or a guarantee of reach. Why a license may not prevent an interruption
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If it detects content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and may interrupt or terminate the broadcast if the identified content continues. YouTube specifically warns that even music you have licensed can trigger this handling unless the rights owner adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Follow YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and resolve matches with the relevant rights holder; changing encoders does not clear a claim.
The U.S. Copyright Office’s explanation of the Music Modernization Act concerns a blanket mechanical-license framework for interactive streaming services. It is not evidence that an individual creator’s YouTube Live broadcast is cleared. See the U.S. Copyright Office FAQ; for your own repertoire and territories, rely on the applicable agreements and qualified legal advice where needed.

Cloud services to consider
Only one directly relevant named service besides StreamNeo is established in the available product information, and its current page presents a waitlist and a beta YouTube connection flow. That is not enough evidence for a comprehensive market ranking or a claim that one provider is objectively best. Check each provider’s present access, setup, pricing and capabilities before relying on it.
- StreamNeo — first to try for a cloud-based YouTube loop. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded video from the cloud, with one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; the first day is free with no card. It does not clear music rights or guarantee YouTube will leave a broadcast uninterrupted. Details: StreamNeo.
- LiveGoLive — relevant example, but access should be confirmed. Its product page says it can broadcast uploaded video, images and audio continuously or on a schedule, prepare incompatible media at upload, and reconnect after transient network interruptions. It describes connecting a YouTube account through a Google authorization flow marked Beta or manually pasting a stream key. The page currently shows a waitlist, and these are vendor statements rather than independently verified performance claims. Check LiveGoLive’s YouTube product page for current availability and terms.
When assessing another option, ask whether it loops audio as well as video, supports scheduling, prepares incompatible files, documents recovery behavior, and tells you who controls broadcast rotation and archives. Also check whether connection requires account authorization or a stream key. None of these operational features supplies the rights to the music.

Set up a cloud loop without confusing it with rights clearance
- Clear the playlist first. Confirm the required live-broadcast permissions for every track and territory, check archive/VOD permissions if applicable, and arrange Content ID allowlisting with the relevant rightsholders or distributors.
- Prepare the media. Make a playlist of files the service accepts and review any stated upload or storage limits. Keep a record of the track list and permissions so you can respond to a claim or query.
- Create the YouTube Live broadcast. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and obtain its stream key. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not control your broadcast.
- Connect the cloud service. Follow its current instructions to authorize YouTube or enter the stream key. Confirm the intended channel and broadcast before starting; a wrong channel or key can send the feed somewhere unexpected or prevent it from connecting.
- Start and monitor the stream. Confirm that YouTube Studio shows the incoming feed and that playback is audible and continuous. A provider’s reconnection feature can address some delivery interruptions, but it cannot resolve a Content ID match, missing permission, or YouTube enforcement action.
- Set archive behavior deliberately. Decide whether to keep an archive and verify that your rights cover it. Check which service or YouTube settings control broadcast rotation and archive handling; do not assume a cloud provider manages these for you.
Technical delivery is separate from music permission
Some services hide encoder configuration; others expose it. YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance concerns delivery format and connection requirements, including one encoded stream at the selected resolution, muxed audio and video, HTTPS, supported formats and codecs, and a persistent connection. It is not a music license and does not establish that any playlist is cleared. See YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance if your service asks you to configure an HLS encoder.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; your uploaded video loops from the cloud. The stream keeps the quality you uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube and does not provide music rights or Content ID clearance. Start at StreamNeo’s free trial signup.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a consumer music subscription for a YouTube Live radio playlist?
Do not assume so. Check whether its terms and your other permissions explicitly cover public livestreaming on YouTube in the relevant territories.
Does a cloud looping service work with a live camera or microphone?
StreamNeo loops uploaded videos; it does not go live from a camera.
