What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Yes—you can run two different pre-recorded YouTube live streams from one server. Create two YouTube broadcast events, give each its own ingest stream and stream key, and run two encoder jobs (or two independent encoder outputs). Each job must send the correct video to its matching YouTube destination. A single shared feed can serve multiple broadcasts, but it duplicates the same program rather than streaming two different videos.
How broadcasts, streams and encoder jobs fit together
A YouTube broadcast is the watchable event; a YouTube stream is the incoming audio-video feed and its transmission settings. Google for Developers defines them this way: “A broadcast is a distinct YouTube video” and “A stream enables you to transmit audio-video content to YouTube, and it defines the settings for how you stream that content.” See YouTube Live Streaming API documentation.
For two different prerecorded videos, make two broadcasts and configure a separate ingest stream for each. Then run two encoder jobs, with each job reading its own file and sending to the URL and key assigned to its corresponding event. Both jobs can run on one physical server; YouTube does not require a separate machine for each broadcast.
You can bind one incoming stream to multiple simultaneous broadcasts, but that sends the same feed to multiple videos. It is suitable for duplicating one program, not for showing two different recordings.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up both streams from one server
- Enable live streaming and create two events. In YouTube Studio, enable live streaming for the channel if it is not already enabled, then create or schedule two separate live events. You can also create the resources through the YouTube Live Streaming API.
- Configure one ingest stream per event. For each broadcast, note its ingest URL and stream key. Match each pair to the correct event and recording. Keep the keys private: anyone with a key may be able to send a feed to its destination.
- Set up two encoder jobs or independent outputs. Point job one at recording one and broadcast one’s ingest URL and key; point job two at recording two and broadcast two’s URL and key. The server hosts the sending and, if needed, encoding processes. Use RTMPS where supported. YouTube describes RTMPS as RTMP tunneled over SSL; the client must use the correct endpoint and application path over port 443. See Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.
- Start both feeds and preview them. Open Live Control Room for each event. Confirm that each preview shows the intended recording and that its audio is correct before relying on the streams.
- Monitor both jobs through the run. Watch encoder process status, outbound network use, YouTube stream health, and the picture and sound on both events. The LiveStreams API exposes status and health details that can help diagnose ingest problems.
- Check the archives afterward. Confirm that each event produced the intended recording. YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; check the current Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder guidance for details.
Choose settings and server capacity for the actual workload
Encoding versus repackaging
Capacity depends on what the jobs do. If the source files already match the required output and the software only repackages or forwards them, the workload differs from transcoding both videos. Source codecs, output settings, and bitrate all affect CPU, memory, disk activity, and network demand. The official guidance does not prescribe a universal CPU, memory, disk, or bandwidth specification for two files. Test the actual files, encoder configuration, and expected network conditions on the server you plan to use.
Network and stability
Each job sends its own feed, so the server’s outbound connection must sustain both outputs at once, in addition to normal overhead. Test the combined upload load rather than assuming a connection or server that handles one stream will handle two. Check for dropped frames, unstable throughput, and interruptions during a realistic-length test.

Stream keys and destination matching
- Label each job with the event and recording it serves; avoid swapping the URLs or keys.
- Store keys securely and do not place them in public scripts, screenshots, or logs.
- Use RTMPS where supported, with the exact endpoint and application path supplied for the event.
- If you change an event’s ingest configuration, verify the encoder is using the current matching destination details.
Check YouTube limits and event readiness
YouTube Help stated, in guidance accessed in 2026, a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These platform limits can change, so verify the current channel interface and Stream across platforms guidance before scheduling around them. Do not treat those limits as a measure of how much a server can encode.
Set up and test both events in advance. YouTube’s YouTube live streaming tips recommend previewing before going live, checking that the event is accessible, monitoring audio and video, and checking local archive files. Use these checks for each broadcast separately: one healthy preview does not establish that the other job is correctly configured.

Troubleshoot common failures
- Both events show the same recording: Both outputs may be reading the same file or sharing one incoming feed. Configure independent inputs and encoder jobs for different programs.
- An event has no incoming video: Check that its encoder is running and that its ingest URL, application path, port, and stream key match that event. Review the encoder output and YouTube’s stream health details.
- The wrong event receives a video: Compare each job’s source file and destination URL/key with the event in Live Control Room, then correct the mismatched pair and preview again.
- One or both feeds become unstable under load: Test combined outbound throughput and server load while both jobs run. If transcoding, test the actual output settings and source files; the requirements cannot be inferred from stream count alone.
- The preview works but the archive is missing or incomplete: Check the event duration and archive status. YouTube’s automatic archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours; consult its current encoder guidance for longer streams and archive behavior.
- A stream key may have been exposed: Treat it as compromised, replace or reset it through the relevant YouTube stream settings, and update only the encoder job assigned to that destination.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube channel that needs prerecorded videos looped continuously, StreamNeo runs the stream in the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Every slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price, without re-encoding or quality tiers, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
