If a YouTube gaming replay keeps disconnecting on JioFiber, first find out whether the problem follows YouTube, one device, Wi-Fi, or the connection itself. Try the same video on another device and connection, lower its playback quality, and run MyJio diagnostics. These checks narrow the cause; a disconnect alone does not prove JioFiber is responsible.
“Stream disconnect” can also mean a creator’s outgoing livestream has stopped, rather than a viewer’s replay playback. This guide focuses on viewers, because the available official guidance covers YouTube playback and JioFiber connection checks—not a Jio-specific creator encoder fault.
Why does my YouTube gaming replay keep disconnecting on JioFiber?
The interruption could involve the YouTube app or video, the playback device, Wi-Fi between the router and device, or the wider internet connection. Compare services, devices, and connections before changing router settings. A result that points toward one part of the setup is useful evidence, not proof of the underlying cause.
Start with three comparisons
- Other services: Check whether other video or internet apps work at the same time. If only YouTube is affected, the app, video, or path to YouTube becomes more plausible; if several services fail, the home connection or service path becomes more plausible.
- Other devices: Play the same YouTube video on another device. If only one device disconnects, focus first on that device or its local connection.
- Other connections: If practical, try the video on mobile data or another available connection. YouTube recommends changing the internet connection and replaying the video. Mobile-data charges may apply.
JioFiber’s role is not established just because the problem occurs while using it. The comparisons help decide what to test next.

Fix playback on the affected device
Lower playback quality
On the YouTube player, open the playback settings and manually select a lower quality. If playback becomes stable, the test suggests the current connection may be struggling to deliver the selected quality consistently; it does not identify whether the cause is Wi-Fi, the internet path, or another factor.
Refresh the app and device
- Close and reopen the YouTube app, then replay the video.
- On supported devices, clear the YouTube app cache using the device’s app settings.
- Restart the playback device.
- Check for YouTube app and device-system updates, and install available updates.
- Try the same video on another device to see whether the interruption follows the original one.
Menu names vary by TV, phone, and operating-system version, so use the current settings labels on your device.

For TV playback, check speed and Wi-Fi where the TV is
YouTube’s TV guidance recommends at least 7 Mbps for HD playback. That is a recommendation, not a guarantee against interruptions and not a specific threshold for stable gaming replays. Check the connection near the TV, where the device actually plays the video; a speed result beside the router may not represent the TV’s Wi-Fi link.
- Move the TV or streaming device within better router range if possible.
- Reduce nearby interference and pause other devices using the network during a test.
- Try lower playback quality and compare the result.
- Where practical, test Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
YouTube notes that network congestion and other factors can also cause live-programming issues and delay a stream. A speed check is one clue, not a complete diagnosis.

Run JioFiber diagnostics in MyJio
Jio’s support guidance directs customers to MyJio for connection checks. In the app, open Home and look for JioCare or Run Diagnostics; exact labels can vary, so follow the current in-app prompts. Jio says these checks cover connection health, router status, Wi-Fi strength, and device connectivity, then offer guided steps. The diagnostics page also describes a complaint option.
- Run the diagnostics while the problem is occurring, if possible.
- Follow the prompts for any connection, router, Wi-Fi, or device issue the app identifies.
- If the fault persists, use MyJio to raise a service request and follow the current support process.
Isolate a weak Wi-Fi link
Restart the gateway and compare bands
Jio’s Fiber guide recommends restarting the Jio Home Gateway for internet issues and moving devices closer to the router when Wi-Fi is slow. It describes a trade-off between Wi-Fi bands: 5 GHz can offer more speed, while 2.4 GHz generally offers better coverage. Which works better depends on the device, router, distance, and surroundings; compare them where your equipment allows it.

The guide also lists disconnecting a VPN as a check in certain connection troubleshooting. If you use one, a brief test with it disconnected may help isolate the issue. Treat this only as a diagnostic comparison, not a general recommendation to disable privacy tools.
Test Ethernet when your device supports it
Jio recommends Ethernet for laptops and streaming devices and names CAT6 cable as an option. Connect the playback device by Ethernet if it has a compatible port; check whether an adapter is needed and whether the cable reaches safely. If wired playback is stable while Wi-Fi is not, investigate local Wi-Fi coverage or interference. Ethernet cannot fix a confirmed upstream outage or a YouTube-side problem.

If diagnostics or a near-router test points to poor coverage in a larger home, Jio’s FAQ says an extender may enhance coverage. That is a coverage option, not a fix for a general service outage; check compatibility and current availability before buying one.

If MyJio’s guided steps do not resolve the problem, Jio says you can raise a service request in the app and arrange an engineer visit. Give support information that helps distinguish a local Wi-Fi fault from a broader connection issue:
- When the interruption happened and how often it occurred.
- The exact YouTube error message, if one appeared.
- Which devices were affected and whether other apps or services also failed.
- Whether playback worked over Ethernet, JioFiber Wi-Fi, or another connection.
- Whether the same video worked on another device.
Do not share account credentials publicly. If only a creator’s outgoing livestream is disconnecting, these viewer playback steps may not diagnose the broadcast setup; the available guidance does not establish a Jio-specific encoder fault.
