A 24/7 meditation stream can make a practice available whenever someone wants to join, but continuous uptime is not a YouTube growth hack. Treat it as one format to test against scheduled guided sessions, edited meditations and Shorts. Make the purpose and language clear, build repeatable moments within the stream, promote them, and use your own channel analytics to decide what is working for your viewers in India.
Start with the right growth expectation
YouTube reported that over 30% of its daily logged-in viewers watched live content in Q2 2025, and that an average of more than 600 million logged-in viewers watched live content, including archives, each day in August 2026. Both are platform-wide figures; neither predicts demand for a particular meditation channel, topic or Indian audience. A 24-hour broadcast gives viewers flexible access, but it does not by itself guarantee recommendations, discovery or growth.
Compare the continuous stream with other formats using your channel’s results. Consider discovery, how long people stay, whether they return, reliability, moderation effort and whether the format suits the meditation itself. Treat any claim that continuous uptime will outperform scheduled or edited content as a hypothesis to test, not an established result.
Make the stream immediately understandable
Choose a title and description that reflect what is actually playing. Say whether the stream is guided or ambient, what language viewers will hear, what kind of practice it offers and whether conversation is part of the experience. Examples might include a guided morning meditation or a quiet breath practice, but use those descriptions only if they accurately describe the content.

Clear session information matters: a 2024 peer-reviewed study by Jingjin Li, Jiajing Guo and Gilly Leshed found that live meditation can help attendees establish a practice routine and connect with other meditators. The study also identified unclear session information, distractions and antisocial behavior as challenges. It involved a three-month audience autoethnography and interviews with 10 experienced live meditation teachers; it is not an India-wide audience survey.
Build reasons to return inside the continuous broadcast
A stream that is always available does not have to feel shapeless. Test a recognizable rhythm within it, such as recurring guided sessions at set times, while leaving quieter material available between them. Promote those scheduled segments so viewers have a specific reason to arrive together. Compare their performance with other parts of the broadcast and with the channel’s existing formats.
Make interaction fit the practice. Explain chat expectations, keep prompts unobtrusive while people are meditating, and add moderation support if your community needs it. These are practical responses to the study’s reported issues; the study does not establish that any particular moderation approach will increase growth.

Test YouTube’s discovery formats carefully
If the channel has access, try simultaneous horizontal and vertical livestreaming through YouTube’s Live Control Room. YouTube Help says the two formats use one shared URL and chat. Vertical streams can appear in the Shorts feed, while horizontal streams retain some different capabilities, including clickable links and live pre-roll and mid-roll ad formats. Check the current feature set and availability in Studio before planning around a feature.
Preview the vertical output before going live. A horizontal scene may crop text, faces or the visual focus in an unhelpful way. Use the format controls available in Live Control Room and check what viewers will actually see.
YouTube has announced new live and cross-format tools, including features described as pilots or rollouts. An announcement does not mean every channel can use a feature now. Confirm availability and eligibility in your own Studio before promising auto-dubbing, monetization or new discovery tools. YouTube said Live auto-dubbing would begin piloting in early 2027 in its October 2026 announcement; it is not a dependable localization plan for every creator today.

Choose Indian languages and times from your own audience data
There is no established single best language, region or broadcast time for Indian meditation viewers in the sources available here. India is not one uniform audience. Check the geography and language response shown in your channel analytics, then test localized titles, descriptions, audio and recurring session times rather than assuming one national preference.
YouTube’s production guidance recommends promoting a broadcast in advance and reviewing analytics afterward. Use Community posts or other channels available to you to announce scheduled guided segments within the continuous stream. Let your own viewer patterns guide the timing and language of those announcements.

- Live impressions and click-through rate, where Studio surfaces them.
- Concurrent viewers across comparable time blocks.
- Average view duration and retention.
- Returning viewers and subscriber changes.
- Chat participation, when interaction is appropriate to the practice.
For dual horizontal and vertical streams, YouTube says metrics are combined during and after the broadcast; vertical-only metrics become available 24 hours later. Do not treat platform-wide live-viewing figures as a benchmark for your channel: the cited sources provide no India-specific performance target.

YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and free of live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days to livestream. The creator must be at least 16, and livestreams must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Check current eligibility and channel status in Studio before setting up a continuous broadcast.
Use content you have the rights to stream, including music, recordings, visuals and any material in a playlist. A meditation theme does not exempt a stream from copyright rules. Follow YouTube policies throughout the broadcast, and do not assume that a 24/7 stream automatically qualifies for monetization. Memberships, fan-funding and advertising features depend on eligibility and may vary by rollout and territory, including India; confirm current availability for your channel.

Keep the stream running: DIY or cloud
A continuous broadcast needs a source that stays available and a way to recover when the stream is interrupted. If you operate your own streaming setup, plan for the computer or other streaming device, power, internet connection, encoder and ongoing monitoring. The YouTube production guides cover broadcast preparation and encoder-based streaming. A home setup can provide direct control, but it also makes continuity depend on equipment and connectivity staying available.
