Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →You can run a continuous Punjabi music stream from OBS by looping music and visuals you have permission to use, sending OBS to a YouTube Live broadcast, and keeping the computer, power, media source, and internet connection operating. OBS can encode and send the stream; it cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Before going live, clear the rights for both live use and any replay you plan to keep, test the full playback loop, and decide how you will recover from a drop.
Before setup: check channel access and music rights
Confirm YouTube Live is available
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Activate live streaming in advance rather than waiting until launch day. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Clear every recording and visual for the intended use
Use only music and visuals for which you have the necessary rights. YouTube’s livestream terms require the broadcaster to have rights for use worldwide, including applicable music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Confirm that your permissions cover live streaming, rebroadcast, and any archive or later on-demand use you intend to offer. Keep records of licences and permissions. Read YouTube’s livestream terms.
A licence does not guarantee that a live stream will avoid interruption. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches and may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. If a rights holder uses Content ID, ask them to allowlist your channel before the broadcast; territorial restrictions alone may not prevent an interruption. YouTube explains this in its copyright guidance for live streams. Do not assume that Punjabi music is free to use because it is traditional, widely available online, or credited in a description.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Prepare the OBS and YouTube setup
Create the YouTube broadcast and protect its key
-
Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to enter the Live Control Room. Create the broadcast with the intended title, visibility, and schedule.
-
Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the broadcast into OBS’s streaming connection settings. Follow YouTube’s stream key setup guidance if the interface or connection options differ.
-
Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish or share it. Reset it in YouTube Studio if it is exposed or you suspect someone else has it.
Build and test the playback scene
In OBS, create a scene containing your authorized music video file or playlist. A single file has fewer playback elements to troubleshoot; a playlist can provide variety but adds transitions and loop behavior to test. Configure the chosen media source or playlist to repeat as appropriate for the installed OBS version, then watch it run through an actual end-to-start transition. Check that both picture and audio resume as expected. OBS source behavior can vary with source type and version, so consult the OBS media sources documentation for the source you use rather than assuming a loop option behaves identically in every setup.
Choose encoder settings your connection can sustain
YouTube’s encoder guidance for RTMP/RTMPS lists H.264, H.265, or AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate (CBR); and a recommended two-second keyframe interval, which should not exceed four seconds. For stereo audio, YouTube lists 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps in its advanced settings. Prefer RTMPS when available, and select the bitrate row for your chosen codec, resolution, and frame rate. These are recommendations, not guarantees of a stable stream. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.

| Output at 30 fps | H.264 minimum | H.264 recommended | AV1 or H.265 minimum | AV1 or H.265 recommended |

| 1080p | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
These figures are YouTube’s current listed encoder recommendations, accessed in 2026. Use the row that matches your output and codec; higher resolution is not automatically better if the connection cannot sustain its bitrate. YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. Judge capacity by sustained upload performance, not a brief speed-test peak, and leave room for ordinary network variation. Its streaming tips cover connection preparation.
Go live safely and verify the stream
-
Set up OBS and the broadcast ahead of time, then start an unlisted test stream. A private test lets you inspect playback without announcing a public continuous channel.
-
Check the Live Control Room preview before making the broadcast public. Confirm the intended scene is visible, audio is audible and clean, and the media source completes its loop or playlist transition correctly.

Check OBS audio meters and the YouTube stream-health status while the test runs. Verify the public watch page is showing the expected stream after you change visibility.
-
If an archive matters, enable local recording and confirm the file is growing during the test. YouTube’s production tips recommend checking the local archive file while streaming. Ensure the recording destination has enough free storage for the duration you intend to retain.

Only after these checks, start the public broadcast. Keep the streaming computer awake, connected to reliable power and the internet, with the media files accessible. Monitor stream health and be ready to restart OBS or repair the source if the stream drops.
YouTube advises testing before a live stream. A successful test verifies the configuration at that time; it does not establish a 24/7 uptime guarantee.
Plan for a 24-hour run and its replay
A 24/7 stream depends on every part of the local chain: OBS, the computer, power, the internet connection, and the playback source. A power interruption, operating-system restart, network disruption, source failure, or YouTube copyright match can interrupt the broadcast. Monitor the stream and arrange a person who can respond; do not promise viewers uninterrupted uptime unless you can actually support that promise.
Plan the archive separately from the live broadcast. YouTube’s full-production guidance says streams up to 12 hours are automatically turned into VOD; streams longer than that should be recorded by the team for manual upload. Therefore, do not present one continuous 24-hour event as a guaranteed complete YouTube replay. If a full replay is important, record locally, check that the file grows during the broadcast, and confirm the finished recording before relying on it. See YouTube’s Full Live Production guide.
Troubleshoot common failures
-
YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Check that OBS has the correct stream URL and key for the selected broadcast, that the key has not been reset, and that OBS is connected. Replace an exposed key in YouTube Studio rather than continuing to use it.

The stream health degrades or the broadcast disconnects: Lower the output bitrate or resolution to a level your sustained upload can support, preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% bandwidth headroom, and check for local network interruptions. Restart the encoder when necessary and verify the preview and watch page again.
-
YouTube interrupts the stream or shows a placeholder: Check the Live Control Room and any copyright notices. A rights claim can affect live playback even when you believe you have permission. Contact the relevant rights holder about Content ID allowlisting and resolve the underlying rights issue before restarting.
-
The YouTube replay is incomplete or absent: A stream longer than 12 hours is outside YouTube’s stated automatic VOD guidance. Use a local recording for a long event and verify the file rather than relying on the platform archive alone.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a computer, OBS, power supply, and home connection to stay on, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on YouTube. The setup is: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.
