To run a 24/7 Marathi Vitthal bhajan stream on YouTube, first secure permission for every recording and composition, then enable live streaming, build a looping program, and test a YouTube encoder before going public. You can run it yourself with OBS on a continuously powered computer, or use a cloud service such as StreamNeo so your home computer does not have to stay on. Decide separately how you will preserve replays: a YouTube stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived at all.

1. Clear the bhajan rights before setting up the stream

Make an inventory of every recording and the underlying composition. A devotional subject, a credit in the description, or the fact that a track is available elsewhere does not grant broadcast rights. Confirm in writing that your permissions cover livestreaming, the territories where viewers can access the stream, and any replay or archive you intend to keep.

Permission for a song does not necessarily clear the particular recording you plan to play. Check that the rights cover both the master recording and the composition, and ask the label, distributor, publisher, or other relevant rights administrator whether your channel needs to be allowlisted in Content ID. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; it may replace the stream with a placeholder, issue a warning, interrupt or terminate the broadcast, or apply a strike. YouTube specifically notes that even a licensed track can interrupt a stream if the channel has not been allowlisted by the rights owner.

“If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” — YouTube for Artists, “Going Live for Music Channels”

  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

YouTube’s livestream terms require providers to have the necessary rights for live and archived content, including applicable music rights from artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants. Platform guidance does not determine what permissions a specific catalog or territory requires; get advice from the relevant rights holders or a qualified professional if your situation is unclear. Keep the permissions and any allowlisting confirmation with your media records.

2. Enable live streaming on the YouTube channel

Check channel eligibility well before launch day. YouTube’s live-streaming requirements include channel verification and no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Age requirements also apply. First-time live-streaming activation can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until the day you plan to start.

Choose who can see the first broadcast: a private or unlisted stream is useful for checking the setup before making it public. You will create the broadcast in YouTube Studio and send it from an encoder using the server URL and stream key supplied for that broadcast.

3. Build a playlist and choose how to keep it running

Do it yourself with OBS

OBS Studio is a free, open-source option for sending a static devotional image or rotating visuals together with a playlist. The OBS Project says it is available under GPLv2, has no watermarks or usage limitations, and may be used commercially. See the OBS Help Portal for its documentation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Prepare the media: Put only rights-cleared recordings in the playlist, keep local copies of the source files, and choose a visual that remains accurate throughout the rotation. Confirm that playback can repeat instead of ending when the playlist reaches its last item.
  2. Make a scene in OBS: Add the devotional image or visual source and the audio playback source. Set up the playlist or media source to loop, then preview several transitions and listen for gaps, clipping, silence, or an unexpectedly ended file.
  3. Keep the machine available: The computer running OBS, its power, and its internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue. Prevent sleep or automatic shutdown, and plan who will respond if OBS, the computer, or the connection fails.
  4. Use a YouTube stream key: In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live broadcast, then copy its server URL and stream key into OBS’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to send video to your channel.
  5. Start with a test: Start OBS, check the YouTube Live Control Room preview, listen to the sound and inspect the visual on a phone, and review stream health before switching to public visibility.

A local encoder gives you direct control over the program and uses equipment you may already have, but it depends on that equipment and connection continuously. Hardware encoders are another option if your production or reliability needs justify the additional equipment. YouTube recommends testing encoders and monitoring audio and video quality; productions with a backup encoder can test failover as well.

Let StreamNeo keep a YouTube playlist live from the cloud

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping an uploaded-video playlist live on YouTube. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; the service loops the video from the cloud, so no computer, OBS installation, or home internet connection has to stay on. It is for uploaded videos, not a live camera feed, and streams to YouTube only.

4. Set encoder quality and bandwidth

You do not need to maximize resolution for a mostly static devotional visual. Pick a setting your upload connection can sustain, then test it. YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS ingestion; H.264, H.265, and AV1 video; constant bitrate (CBR); and a recommended two-second keyframe interval, which should not exceed four seconds. For audio, it lists AAC or MP3; its advanced stereo guidance specifies 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps.

H.264 video target in YouTube guidance Listed bitrate
240p–720p at 30 fps 4 Mbps
720p at 60 fps 6 Mbps
1080p at 30 fps 10 Mbps

These are listed recommendations, not a requirement to use the highest resolution. A low-motion image may not benefit from a higher setting enough to justify the additional bandwidth. YouTube recommends having 20% more upload capacity than the stream bitrate and warns that network disruption can break a stream. Leave headroom for the combined stream bitrate and the connection’s real-world variation, then verify stability during a test.

5. Test the complete broadcast before launch

  1. Start with a private or unlisted broadcast and confirm that YouTube’s Live Control Room receives the encoder feed.
  2. Check the visual and audio on another device, ideally a phone on a separate connection. Listen for silence between tracks, distorted peaks, unexpected stops, and any mismatch between the displayed image and the playlist.
  3. Review YouTube’s stream-health indicators and confirm that the upload connection has bandwidth headroom. A speed result alone does not prove that a long stream will be stable.
  4. Check that the playlist continues past its first cycle and that your encoder or cloud setup recovers as intended if playback or the connection stops. Do not assume a test of one failure mode proves every backup will work.
  5. Make the broadcast public only after the rights, preview, audio, visuals, and continuity plan are in order.

YouTube’s streaming tips recommend testing and continuously monitoring audio and video quality. For a 24/7 devotional stream, assign someone to check it periodically and respond to alerts rather than treating a successful launch as proof it will run indefinitely.

6. Plan power, internet, and recovery for continuous operation

A computer-based stream relies on the encoder, the computer, power, and the internet connection all remaining available. Prevent sleep and unwanted restarts, keep authorized media locally available, and decide who can restart the encoder or check the YouTube broadcast if it stops. For a temple or community space, choose backup equipment and networking based on the likely outages and the budget, not as automatic requirements.

A UPS, or “uninterruptible power supply for streaming PC,” can bridge some brief power interruptions, but it cannot provide indefinite runtime or fix an internet outage. Backup internet or redundant encoding may help with particular failure risks, but adds equipment and operational complexity. YouTube says network disruption can break a stream; select and test the backup plan against the failures you actually need to cover.

With StreamNeo, the stream runs from the cloud instead of depending on a computer and home connection staying on. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps is included at one price per slot; automatic recovery is provided if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Start a StreamNeo free day.

7. Choose how viewers will get replays

A continuous feed is convenient for always-on listening, but it is not a dependable way to create a complete full-day replay on YouTube. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. See its guidance on archiving live streams and creating an encoder stream.

  • If uninterrupted listening matters most: Keep the broadcast continuous and do not promise viewers a complete YouTube replay.
  • If searchable YouTube replays matter: Plan shorter scheduled sessions that stay under 12 hours and label each session clearly.
  • If you want both: Save a local recording and verify that the file is complete, or divide the broadcast into shorter sessions as well. YouTube’s automatic archive alone is not a guarantee of a complete 24-hour recording.

Set recording and storage expectations before launch. Confirm that the selected recording method captures the intended audio and visual output, and check the resulting file rather than assuming it was saved correctly.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Common problems and what to check

  • YouTube does not accept the live feed: Confirm live streaming is enabled, use the server URL and stream key for the intended broadcast, and check the encoder’s connection settings. Keep the key private; if it may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
  • The stream drops or looks unstable: Check the upload connection and encoder stream health, lower the resolution or bitrate if the connection cannot sustain them, and preserve the recommended bandwidth headroom. Review power, sleep settings, and any automatic restart or update behavior on a local computer.
  • Audio disappears or the playlist ends: Inspect the source files and playback source, test a full playlist cycle, and check that looping is enabled. Monitor levels and transitions instead of relying only on a short preview.
  • A licensed track triggers a warning or interruption: Pause or replace the track while you check the rights for the exact recording and composition. Ask the rights administrator to confirm livestream and replay permission and any required Content ID allowlisting; attribution alone will not resolve a rights match.
  • The 24-hour feed has no complete replay: This can happen because YouTube may not capture streams longer than 12 hours. Use shorter sessions or a verified local recording if a complete replay is important.
