To earn the Luminescent Cavern Bestiary’s 100% marker, catch the eight required fish. Two Secret fish are also listed, but guides say they are optional for that completion threshold. First unlock the cavern by using the three keystones requested by your own Desolate Deep pedestals; then use each fish’s bait and conditions as a target list. If the live in-game Bestiary differs from older guides, follow the game.
Unlock Luminescent Cavern
The cavern is reached through the Desolate Deep. In the route described by AllThings.How’s September 24, 2025 guide, swim to the Red Buoy behind Sunstone Island and dive into the tunnel. Near the Diver NPC, inspect the three pedestals: they show which keystones your character needs.
- Read the three keystone types requested at your pedestals.
- Travel to the corresponding islands and retrieve those matching keystones.
- Return to the pedestals and place the stones.
- Swim through the opened crack and across the Mysterious River to reach the fishing area.
The guide lists nine possible keystone locations: Cliff at Castaway Cliffs, Mushroom at Mushgrove Islands, Fossil at Ancient Isles, Snowflake at Snowburrow, Volcano at Roslit Volcano, Skull at Forsaken Shores, Lightning at Grand Reef, Turtle at Terrapin Island, and Sun at Sunstone Island. The requested set is described as unique to each player, so you do not need to collect all nine. The guide’s coordinates are not reproduced here; use the current game map or verify a location before making the trip.

The full tables in Beebom’s guide, updated April 4, 2026, and AllThings.How agree on the main eight-fish roster and most preferences. “Not stated” means the cited table did not give a preference; it does not mean every condition is guaranteed.

There is a bait disagreement for Atolla Jellyfish: Beebom and AllThings.How list Truffle Worm, while Pro Game Guides lists Worm. The table uses the two matching recommendations; check the live Bestiary if that bait does not work for you.
Plan catches around seasons and weather
Several targets share foggy nights, so organize attempts around the season rather than switching conditions after every catch.

Use the bait in the table when targeting a specific entry. For the Colossal Blue Dragon, Beebom reports clear weather, but its own article also offers a Sundial Totem tip involving waiting for a thunder effect and looking near waterfall corners. That tip is not corroborated by AllThings.How, and it does not align with the clear-weather preference in Beebom’s table. Treat it as uncertain rather than a confirmed requirement.
Optional Secret entries
The cavern page also lists two Secret fish. Both completion guides describe them as unnecessary for the 100% marker.

Rod and bait recommendations
Beebom and AllThings.How suggest choosing a rod for the bottleneck you are trying to manage. These are guide recommendations, not independently tested performance findings.
- Progress speed: Challenger’s Rod or Tempest Rod.
- Luck: No-Life Rod or Heaven’s Rod.
- Control against resilient fish: Poseidon Rod.
They recommend using each fish’s listed bait. As general alternatives, the guides mention Night Shrimp or Weird Algae for luck and Seaweed for lower-tier catches. One suggested general setup is No-Life Rod with Night Shrimp or Weird Algae and Mystical plus Steady enchants; treat it as advice, not a guaranteed optimal build.
