Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThere is no single “maximum stream duration” that answers every question. Compare the cloud service’s broadcast limit, YouTube’s handling of a long broadcast, any recording cap, monthly plan allowances, and restart or reconnection behavior separately. A service may allow a broadcast to continue without limit while its recording ends earlier—or while YouTube does not retain the full stream as an archive.
What “maximum stream duration” can mean
Before comparing services, identify which limit matters to you. “Unlimited” is meaningful only when you know whether it refers to broadcasting, recording, or the number of hours available on a plan.
| Measure | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Provider-side broadcast duration | How long the service says it can keep sending a live broadcast. |
| Destination behavior | What YouTube does with a long stream, including whether it retains an archive. |
| Service recording limit | How long the provider can record a broadcast for you. This can be shorter than the broadcast itself. |
| Monthly plan allowance | How much streaming or recording a plan includes over a billing period. A monthly allowance is not necessarily a cap on one continuous broadcast. |
| Continuity caveat | Whether maintenance, restarts, or reconnections can interrupt a stream that is otherwise permitted to run for a long time. |
For a 24/7 channel, continuity and recovery matter as much as a headline duration claim. If you need a saved recording, check the recording and archive rules separately.
How the services and platform compare
The figures below reflect statements in the linked provider documentation. They are not a market-wide ranking, and provider terms can change. StreamNeo is listed first because it is designed to keep an uploaded-video YouTube stream running from the cloud; its stated offer is always-on streaming, any quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and a free first day.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| Service or layer | Broadcast duration | Recording or archive | Allowance or continuity caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Built for 24/7 looping of uploaded videos on YouTube; a specific maximum duration is not stated. | Recording or archive-duration limit is not stated. | Cloud operation, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream; first day free with no card. See the cloud option below for plan details. |
| Restream | Restream says it does not limit stream duration. | Restream says YouTube archives only streams under 12 hours; this is Restream’s summary of YouTube behavior, not a duration or archive cutoff stated on the YouTube Help page examined. | Restream warns that a server may undergo maintenance and restart during continuous streams longer than 24 hours, and recommends restarting every 24 hours. This is an operational caveat, not a guarantee of uninterrupted 24/7 service. Restream duration guidance; Restream YouTube setup guidance. |
| StreamYard | StreamYard says paid plans have no streaming limits and lists no duration limit for the YouTube destination. | Its help article lists recording limits of 10 hours for Core, Advanced, and Teams, and 24 hours for Business. These are recording caps, not broadcast-duration caps. It also says YouTube records only the last 12 hours of a stream. | Storage availability can affect recording; if storage hours are exceeded, a broadcast can continue while recording is disabled. The free plan has a monthly streaming and recording allowance that resets at the start of each month; the cited help article does not state the exact number of hours. Reaching the allowance blocks a new stream until reset but does not interrupt one already live. StreamYard duration and recording limits; StreamYard free-plan allowance information. |
| YouTube Live | The YouTube Help page examined does not state a maximum duration. | The page examined also does not state the archive cutoff described by Restream and StreamYard. | YouTube Help lists concurrency limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are simultaneous-stream limits, not duration limits. A channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days to stream. YouTube live-stream help. |
| Google Cloud Live Stream API | A channel may be restarted after 24 hours in a streaming state other than STOPPED or STOPPING. | Not stated in the lifecycle guidance. | This is a managed API session-lifecycle rule, not a creator-facing multistreaming plan or YouTube policy. Google Cloud Live Stream API documentation. |
StreamYard’s recording figures and its paid-plan broadcast statement answer different questions. Likewise, a monthly free-plan allowance describes usage across a month, not the maximum length of an individual live broadcast.
How to choose the right duration measure
If the broadcast must stay live
Compare the provider’s broadcast-duration statement with its maintenance, restart, and recovery guidance. Restream’s no-duration-limit statement comes with a recommendation to restart continuous streams every 24 hours because of possible server maintenance. Do not read “unlimited” as a promise of uninterrupted operation.

If you need a complete recording
Check the provider’s recording cap and storage rules, then check YouTube archive behavior separately. StreamYard’s published recording limits are 10 hours on Core, Advanced, and Teams and 24 hours on Business; its help article also says YouTube records only the last 12 hours. Restream similarly reports that YouTube archives streams only when they are under 12 hours. Those archive statements are provider guidance; the YouTube Help page examined here does not specify a duration cutoff.
If you stream frequently on a free plan
Find the current monthly hours in the provider’s own account or plan information before relying on them. StreamYard says its free allowance resets at the beginning of each month, and that reaching the allowance prevents starting a new broadcast until reset but does not stop an active one. Its cited free-plan article does not state the exact allowance, so an exact hour figure cannot be established from that source.

If you are evaluating an API rather than a creator service
Keep lifecycle rules for managed infrastructure separate from consumer streaming-plan claims. Google Cloud Live Stream API’s 24-hour channel rule concerns the API’s session lifecycle; it does not establish a YouTube duration limit or describe a hosted creator plan.
Check YouTube eligibility and concurrency separately
Duration is only one reason a broadcast may not start. YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days. The same page lists no more than 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key at a time; those limits govern concurrency, not how long one stream can run. Review YouTube’s live-stream help for current eligibility details.

Restream’s YouTube setup guidance says the channel owner must connect the account rather than a manager or editor, and that enabling live streaming may require phone verification and a 24-hour wait before a first stream. Treat those as Restream’s setup guidance and confirm the current requirements with YouTube before scheduling a launch: Restream’s YouTube setup article.

- Does the duration claim apply to the live broadcast, a recording, or both?
- Is a free-plan limit measured per month, and does reaching it stop a stream already in progress or only prevent starting another?
- What does the provider say about server maintenance, stream restarts, or automatic recovery?
- Does the service’s recording cap match the archive length you need, or could the broadcast continue after recording stops?
- Are provider statements about YouTube archive behavior clearly attributed, rather than presented as a YouTube policy the platform itself has published?
- Is the product a creator-facing streaming service or an infrastructure API with a different session lifecycle?
