IRL Pro is not documented as a 24/7 playlist player. Enhanced IRL’s guide describes broadcasting a live feed from the Android app using RTMP or SRT; it does not explain how to loop prerecorded videos or keep a playlist running unattended. To stream a playlist continuously, you need a separate source and encoder that can loop the files, stay running, and send an uninterrupted feed to YouTube. You can then use YouTube’s stream URL and key to connect that encoder.
Can IRL Pro run a prerecorded YouTube playlist 24/7?
Not according to the reviewed IRL Pro documentation. It establishes a mobile broadcasting workflow for Android, not a way to select video files, loop a playlist, or keep a prerecorded stream running unattended. Do not treat the app’s ability to broadcast to a configured stream key as evidence that it can provide the playlist source.
Think of the setup as separate parts: the playlist source plays your prerecorded videos; an encoder turns that playback into a live feed; YouTube receives the feed through Live Control Room. Before relying on any app or hosted service for a 24/7 playlist, confirm that it can loop local media, stay awake unattended, and reconnect after an interruption. The reviewed sources do not verify those capabilities for IRL Pro.
What IRL Pro’s documented setup does
Enhanced IRL’s IRL Pro guide describes sending a mobile broadcast from an Android device through either RTMP or SRT. Its basic workflow is to select a protocol in the dashboard, copy the publish URL, choose the same protocol in IRL Pro, enter that URL, set the stream quality within the applicable plan cap, and start broadcasting. The guide’s advice to begin with a lower bitrate and test a walk for mobile network coverage is relevant to a live phone broadcast. It does not establish that a phone app can act as a reliable, unattended prerecorded-video source for a continuous stream.
How to connect a playlist-capable encoder to YouTube
Once you have chosen a source that genuinely supports looping prerecorded files and continuous operation, connect its encoder output through YouTube Live Control Room. The following is YouTube’s documented ingest workflow; the steps for loading or looping files depend on your chosen playlist-capable software or service.

- Check channel eligibility. YouTube says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days; its help page also states that streamers must be at least 16. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and setup guide.
- Create or select a stream. In YouTube Live Control Room, create or select the stream you intend to use and locate its server URL and stream key.
- Configure your encoder. Enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the encoder’s destination settings. Keep the source’s playlist playback and loop settings separate from these destination credentials.
- Start the encoder and follow Live Control Room. Start the outgoing feed, then complete the relevant steps shown in YouTube Live Control Room.
- Test the whole chain before leaving it unattended. Verify that the video continues through the end of a file and into the next loop, and test what happens if the network or encoder output is interrupted. The cited YouTube workflow explains the connection, not the playlist behavior or a specific encoder’s recovery settings.
Protect the stream key
A YouTube stream key grants access to broadcast to your channel. Do not share it or publish it in a video, chat, screenshot, or public document. Enhanced IRL’s documentation also warns that a platform broadcast key grants channel access; rotate a compromised key. Enhanced IRL documentation
What to verify before calling a setup “24/7”
A successful test stream proves that a feed can reach YouTube; it does not prove that the playlist will stay live continuously. Check each layer before depending on it:

- Playlist playback: Can the source play the files you need and repeat them in the intended order without manual intervention?
- Unattended operation: Does the source stay active with no one logged in or interacting with it? Does it have a sleep or inactivity shutdown?
- Recovery: If YouTube or the network drops the feed, will the source reconnect automatically, and does playback resume at a sensible point?
- Monitoring: Who will notice a failed stream and restart it if automatic recovery does not work?
- Long-stream handling: How does YouTube handle the archive for a stream that runs longer than 12 hours?
Is Enhanced IRL Cloud OBS a 24/7 playlist solution?
Enhanced IRL documents sending output from Cloud OBS to YouTube after configuring the destination and starting the server. Its documentation does not establish that Cloud OBS can loop prerecorded files or guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 operation, so treat it as an option to investigate and test—not a confirmed turnkey playlist player.
There is also an important lifecycle condition: Enhanced IRL says Cloud OBS turns off after about 30 minutes when it is not broadcasting and its desktop is not open. YouTube limits and archives for long streams
YouTube’s current help page lists a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are platform limits, not evidence of an encoder’s playlist capacity or reliability. YouTube Help
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that a 24-hour stream will produce one complete video-on-demand archive, so do not plan on a single complete VOD based on the under-12-hour rule alone. Check YouTube’s current guidance and your own archive results when planning a long broadcast. YouTube Help
