To run separate IRL Pro streams on two YouTube channels, create a separate YouTube live event for each channel and connect an independent IRL Pro sender to each event using its own server URL and stream key. IRL Pro’s guide describes broadcasts as using one connection, so two independent senders are the conservative documented setup. The reviewed documentation does not establish whether two independent IRL Pro sessions can run simultaneously on one phone.
What you need for two separate channel feeds
- Two YouTube channels eligible to go live, with live streaming enabled on each. YouTube says first-time enablement can take at least 24 hours. Both accounts must be in good standing. YouTube’s live-streaming requirements
- A separate live event and event-specific server URL and stream key for each channel. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Two independent IRL Pro senders for the conservative documented setup. That may mean two phones; the reviewed IRL Pro documentation does not confirm whether one phone can run two simultaneous independent sessions. Enhanced IRL’s IRL Pro guide
- Enough upload capacity for both outgoing feeds, including while moving through your usual broadcast area.
Create a separate YouTube event for each channel
- In YouTube Studio for channel one, open Go Live and create a stream, or open the Manage tab to schedule one. Scheduling lets you share the event URL and gives viewers the option to set reminders. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Copy the server URL and stream key associated with channel one’s event. Label them clearly as channel one’s credentials; YouTube associates them with the selected live stream.
- Sign in to channel two’s YouTube Studio and repeat the process to create or schedule a different event. Copy that event’s server URL and key, and label them for channel two.
- Keep each event’s credentials paired. Do not use channel one’s key for channel two: the event URL and key identify the intended destination.
YouTube says it supports multiple simultaneous live streams up to a platform limit, subject to channel eligibility. It also describes using local encoders for multiple streams and cloud services for distributing one feed to multiple destinations. That general capability does not establish that a particular relay can publish two distinct IRL Pro feeds to two separate channel events. YouTube’s guidance on streaming across platforms
Configure and start each IRL Pro sender
- Open the current connection instructions for the service or ingest path that will receive the broadcast. Enhanced IRL’s guide says IRL Pro supports RTMP and SRT and uses a single connection. Its examples describe choosing a protocol in that provider’s stream-key dashboard, copying the complete publish URL, selecting the same protocol in IRL Pro, and pasting the URL into the URL/server field. Those examples are for Enhanced IRL’s stream-key service; use the correct destination details for your own ingest path.
- For the first sender, enter the connection details for channel one’s event, following the selected provider’s instructions for URL, server and key fields. In Enhanced IRL’s examples, an SRT key is carried in the
streamid; an RTMP URL already ends in the key. - Configure the second sender independently with channel two’s event details. Check the labels before starting so each phone or sender is paired with the intended channel.
- Start each encoder and check the preview and stream-health indicators in YouTube Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview, then select Go live in Live Control Room. Monitor both feeds during the broadcast. YouTube’s reviewed workflow does not specify a special two-channel IRL Pro control screen.
Plan mobile upload capacity for both feeds
Add the target bitrates for both outgoing feeds to estimate combined upload demand. YouTube’s example is a 6 Mbps feed plus a 4 Mbps feed, or a 10 Mbps combined target; its guidance is to aim for 1.5–2 times that target, which is 15–20 Mbps in the example, particularly on a shared connection. This is planning guidance, not a guarantee that a mobile connection will sustain the rate while you are moving. YouTube’s live encoder settings and bandwidth guidance
Enhanced IRL advises keeping resolution, frame rate and bitrate below the applicable plan cap, starting around half the cap, testing along your usual route, and increasing only while the bitrate remains stable. Its guide lists these plan caps and example starting settings; they are Enhanced IRL plan figures, not YouTube requirements, and may change. Enhanced IRL’s IRL Pro guide

| Enhanced IRL plan | Listed cap | Example starting setting |
|---|---|---|
| Stream Key Lite | 9,000 kbps | 1080p/30 fps |
| Stream Key | 9,000 kbps | 1080p/30 fps |
| OBS Basic | 6,000 kbps | 720p/30 fps |
| OBS Standard | 6,000 kbps | 1080p/30 fps |
| OBS Pro | 10,000 kbps | 1080p/60 fps |
These caps concern Enhanced IRL plans, not YouTube ingest limits. Choose settings each sender and its receiving service support, and assess both feeds together on the actual mobile route.
Common problems and fixes
A key reports no signal or IRL Pro keeps reconnecting
Check that the URL and key belong to the current event and were copied completely. For Enhanced IRL’s service, changing a key’s region or protocol, or rotating it, invalidates the old URL; publish and copy the replacement URL. For another key issuer, retrieve fresh credentials from the current event rather than reusing a stale URL.

The picture or connection degrades while moving
First reduce the bitrate and test again under the same route and movement. Enhanced IRL recommends SRT over RTMP for its documented stream-key service, or lowering bitrate if already using SRT. That is provider-specific guidance: verify that the selected destination and ingest path support the protocol, and remember that changing protocols cannot by itself fix weak mobile coverage.
A feed appears on the wrong channel
Stop and check the event-to-sender pairing: compare each sender’s saved URL and key against the intended channel’s current YouTube event. Reconnect with the correct event-specific details before going live again.

One or both channels cannot start a live stream
Confirm that live streaming is enabled for both channels, that each account is in good standing, and that YouTube’s multiple-stream limit has not been reached. If live streaming was just enabled, YouTube says initial activation can take at least 24 hours.
Copyright and reused-content checks still apply
Using IRL Pro or two separate channels does not grant rights to the video, music or other material in a broadcast. Confirm you have permission to stream the material and review YouTube’s applicable copyright and monetization policies before going live. Separate channels also do not make repeated or reused content automatically eligible for monetization; assess each channel against YouTube’s current policies rather than assuming a second feed changes the rules.
