In Crimson Desert, the right place to sell depends on whether your trade goods are packaged. Sell unpackaged trade items through black-market vendors; load packaged goods into a horse or wagon and take them to a trading post or guild branch that buys that specific item. Use the map’s trading-post filters, then check the destination’s current buying list and displayed price before making the trip.
First, identify which kind of trade good you have
The game has two distinct selling routes. Unpackaged trade goods are special commodities sold through black-market vendors. Packaged trade goods are cargo for the transport-and-trading-post system. The two routes are described in the IGN guide; its details predate Version 1.16.00, so verify progression and availability in your current game.

How to find a buyer for packaged goods
- Check the map for a post that handles your item. Version 1.16.00 added trading-post filters for finding posts that sell selected trade goods. Pearl Abyss also says a packaged good can be registered to the map’s item filter when selected from horse inventory, wagon inventory, a trade shop’s buy/sell screen, or storage. - Inspect the post’s buying list and price. Confirm that it buys your specific packaged good and compare the displayed price at candidate destinations. The update does not provide a complete route-by-route price table, so there is no source-established universally best buyer.
- Consider the post type and recent local sales. Pearl Abyss says prices change when too many goods are sold at one location, and Version 1.16.00 quadrupled prices at royal trading posts. Treat those as update-specific market rules, not a guarantee that a royal post will always offer the best price for every item.
- Transport the cargo to the selected destination. Packaged goods are carried in horse or wagon inventory and traded at suitable posts or guild branches. The PC Gamer walkthrough describes Goldleaf Tradeposts opening after Chapter 3 and a wagon route for trading at scale, but that guide predates Version 1.16.00. Check current unlocks and post availability in-game.
What Version 1.16.00 changed
Pearl Abyss’s 2026 Version 1.16.00 update expanded the trading network and changed how goods can be handled. Its published counts and rules include:
- 133 new trading posts.
- 24 new high-value trade goods and 4 new regular trade goods.
- Packaged goods stack to 10 or 100 depending on price; unpackaged trade items stack to 5 or 50 per slot. The update does not identify which individual goods belong to each stack tier, so check the item itself.
- One trade good can now be sold.
These are developer-stated update changes, not estimates of player profits or trading performance. Because the explanatory walkthroughs predate the update, use them for the broad flow and rely on current in-game listings for item-specific buyers and prices.
