If a Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Hunt clue or chest won’t register, start with the active Festival Playlist entry, follow that hunt’s clue to its chest, and smash the chest as the challenge requires. If the Playlist still shows incomplete, check for the current game update and report the specific failure in the official Forza Feedback Portal under Gameplay Bugs. A past update included Festival Playlist completion fixes, but that does not establish a universal fix for every current Treasure Hunt problem.
Work from the current Festival Playlist entry
Open the current Festival Playlist and select its Treasure Hunt entry. Use the hunt name and photo clue shown there rather than relying on an old location guide. Dated guides describe particular past hunts; their locations and routes do not establish where this week’s chest is or how to reach it. Reach and smash the chest
In the documented Ohtani and Tokyo City hunts, the challenge completed by crashing into or smashing the treasure chest. The route can matter: the Tokyo City example used ramps and rooftop jumps, rather than a simple drive to a map pin. Treat these as examples of how specific hunts worked, not instructions for the current hunt. Follow the active clue and its route, then make contact with the chest as the challenge expects. Identify exactly what failed
Before troubleshooting, note which stage is stuck. This is a practical way to describe the issue, not a confirmed list of causes:

- The Playlist entry is missing: verify that you are looking at the current Playlist and the intended activity.
- You have the clue but have not reached the chest: use the current hunt’s clue and route; a dated guide may refer to another chest.
- You smashed the chest but the Playlist remains incomplete: check that the game is current, then report the failure if it persists.
Also distinguish the weekly Festival Playlist Treasure Hunt from similarly named activities. A third-party explainer distinguishes Playlist hunts from permanent Treasure Cars and the paid Treasure Map add-on, which reveals collectible locations rather than completing a weekly hunt. That distinction is useful for identifying the activity, but it is not an official guarantee of all related mechanics. Do not treat the explainer’s unverified failure symptoms or rollover claims as established fixes. See the third-party explainer.
Check the game update, then report persistent failures
Playground Games’ June 15, 2026 Series 2 announcement says that update included fixes for Festival Playlist challenge completion. It does not establish that a present Treasure Hunt failure has the same cause or that every such issue is fixed. Check the current update state for your platform through the game’s official support or update channel. The official game page lists Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Microsoft Store and Steam; the Series 2 rollout announcement covered Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via the Xbox app and Steam. If the chest visibly broke but the Playlist still says incomplete, or another step consistently fails, submit a report through the Forza Feedback Portal’s FH6 Gameplay Bugs category. Include the platform, current Playlist season and hunt name, the clue or chest action you performed, and whether the chest visibly broke. Playground Games described the portal as the route for players to raise bug reports and search existing topics, and said it helps ensure issues are reviewed by the right people.
