All six campaigns in Halo: The Master Chief Collection support co-op: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary allow two players, while Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4 allow up to four. MCC campaign split-screen is limited to two players on Xbox; its PC version has online campaign play but no split-screen. Halo Infinite has four-player online campaign co-op but no campaign split-screen. Halo: Campaign Evolved supports four-player online co-op and two-player campaign split-screen on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

Which MCC campaigns support co-op?
All six games included in The Master Chief Collection support campaign co-op. The first two are two-player campaigns; the other four allow up to four players online. Halo Support specifies that MCC campaign split-screen is Xbox-only and allows no more than two players on one screen.

Four-player campaign co-op does not mean four people can play together on one Xbox screen. The local split-screen limit remains two; additional campaign co-op is online. On PC, MCC campaign play with friends is over the Xbox network, but PC does not support campaign split-screen, as explained in the MCC Quick Start Guide.
Does Halo Infinite have campaign split-screen?
No. Halo Infinite supports network campaign co-op for up to four players, but not campaign split-screen. Its split-screen option applies to multiplayer, so it should not be treated as a way to play the campaign locally on one screen. Halo Support’s Winter Update notes document the campaign co-op limit; its pages on playing multiplayer with friends and Halo Infinite distinguish multiplayer from campaign.

Does Halo: Campaign Evolved support couch co-op?
Yes. Halo: Campaign Evolved supports two-player campaign split-screen on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, as well as online campaign co-op for up to four players across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. PC supports online co-op, not split-screen. Halo Support details the modes and platforms in Co-op in Halo: Campaign Evolved. Halo Waypoint announced the game’s global release for July 28, 2026, in Halo: Campaign Evolved Out Now.
How to start MCC campaign split-screen on Xbox
- Connect an Xbox controller for each local player.
- Launch the campaign and select the second player’s profile when prompted.
- Start the campaign together. MCC supports two local campaign players per split screen; connecting more controllers does not raise that limit.
The controller and profile steps are covered in the official MCC Quick Start Guide. If you are playing on PC, a second controller will not enable MCC campaign split-screen.

The official sources cited in this guide do not establish Halo 5: Guardians campaign co-op or split-screen limits. Because those details are unresolved here, it is safer not to infer them from another Halo game or include a player count as confirmed.
