Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThere is no single validated Aion 2 graphics preset that delivers the best performance and visibility on every PC. Start with NCSoft’s FHD baseline for your hardware tier, then adjust effect quality and player-particle display if crowded fights are hard to read or run poorly. Treat community suggestions as starting points, not guaranteed FPS gains.
Start with Aion 2’s official FHD baseline
NCSoft’s PC requirements use 1920 × 1080 (FHD) when describing graphics presets: the minimum tier is associated with Very Low, while the recommended tier is associated with Normal. These are compatibility-oriented preset references, not promises of a particular frame rate. NCSoft’s official requirements list these specifications:
| Tier | Operating system | Processor | Memory | Graphics card | DirectX | Storage | FHD preset reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | Windows 10/11 64-bit | AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-10500F | 8 GB RAM | GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB or Radeon RX 470 4 GB | 12 | 100 GB available; SSD recommended | Very Low |
| Recommended | Windows 10/11 64-bit | AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel Core i7-11700 | 16 GB RAM | RTX 2070 8 GB or Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB | 12 | 100 GB available; SSD recommended | Normal |
The Aion 2 Steam listing likewise says to use Very Low at FHD “to ensure compatibility.” Neither listing establishes expected FPS for these hardware tiers. The GPU models in the recommended specification are reference points from the published requirement, not a claim that they are the best-value cards to buy now.
Prioritize effect clutter when fights become hard to read
A settings compilation drawing on two creator videos identifies Effect Quality and player-particle display as useful controls to try when crowded scenes are difficult to follow or performance drops. It is community guidance, not a controlled test. The compilation’s settings notes describe the particle choices this way:

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Self Only: show your own effects while hiding other players’ effects.
- Self and Party: retain party effects while hiding effects from more distant players, according to the compilation.
Lowering Effect Quality and reducing how many player effects are displayed can make combat less visually busy. The trade-off is that you see fewer of the effects other players produce. If you rely on party effects to follow a fight, Self and Party may be a more useful compromise than Self Only; if maximum visual clarity is the priority, try both in the same type of encounter.
Choose frame generation around latency, not FPS promises
The same creator compilation frames frame generation as a choice between smoother displayed motion and input responsiveness. Its advice is to leave it off in PvE and consider turning it on in mass PvP when smoothness matters more. That is a recommendation from creators, not a measured result or a universal rule. Players who are sensitive to input delay should weigh that reported trade-off before enabling it for PvP.

Set resolution and image quality by testing one change at a time
Guides do not agree on a universal resolution scale, effects, shadows, or particle configuration. All Things How and Overgear offer different secondary recommendations, and the reviewed guidance does not provide comparable controlled benchmarks. Lowering render scale or using upscaling may reduce rendered workload, while native or higher-resolution rendering favors image detail; which balance works best depends on your system and preference.
- Note your GPU, display resolution, current game build, and whether you mainly play PvE, small-group PvP, or mass PvP.
- Pick a repeatable scene or encounter where you can judge both smoothness and visibility.
- Change one setting, such as Effect Quality, particle display, resolution scale, or frame generation, and compare it in that same scene.
- Keep the change only if it improves the issue you care about without making another trade-off unacceptable.
Changing one setting at a time is a practical way to identify what helps on your own PC; it is not a published benchmark method or evidence of a particular FPS increase.

When should you consider a hardware upgrade?
Compare your CPU, memory, and GPU with NCSoft’s minimum and recommended tiers before deciding that settings alone are the problem. The published requirements establish hardware reference points, but they do not show what frame rate any specific component will produce. A graphics-card upgrade is relevant only if your current card is below the published tier and your budget and other system components make an upgrade sensible; changing settings does not automatically mean you need new hardware.
No independently published Aion 2 graphics benchmark figures in the sources reviewed support a specific FPS promise. Because the game’s scene, resolution, build, and activity matter—and recommendations differ—there is no evidence-backed setting combination that can be called best for every player.
