Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the two protagonists Rockstar has named for Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar’s profiles establish key parts of their backgrounds, while the official story synopsis puts them together in a criminal conspiracy across Leonida. Their ages, the full nature of their relationship and how their story ends have not been established in the official material cited here.
Who are Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the central characters Rockstar has introduced for Grand Theft Auto VI. Their official profiles present people with different histories but connected ambitions: Jason wants an easier life, and Lucia sees a life with him as one possible route toward the future she wants. Rockstar’s official character profiles provide the published background for each.
Jason Duval
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After troubled teenage years, he served in the Army, hoping to move beyond that past. He later found work for local drug runners in the Keys. His profile sums up his predicament this way: “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”
Lucia Caminos
Lucia’s father taught her to fight when she was very young. Fighting for her family led to her imprisonment at Leonida Penitentiary; Rockstar says she has since been released. Her family left Liberty City, and Lucia wants the better life her mother dreamed about. Her profile describes her as prepared to pursue it herself.

What do we know about Jason and Lucia’s story?
Rockstar’s Trailer 2 synopsis, published May 6, 2025, says an easy score goes wrong and draws Jason and Lucia into a criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida. The synopsis says they must rely on each other to survive. That establishes them as partners in the central predicament, but does not reveal the conspiracy’s full details or the story’s outcome.
Their profiles also signal that each sees the other as significant, though not in identical terms. Lucia considers a life with Jason a possible way out; Jason is unsure whether meeting her will turn out to be good or bad for him. Rockstar’s official Lucia profile says, “A life with Jason could be her way out.” That is evidence of a close connection and shared stakes, not a complete account of their relationship.

Are Jason and Lucia a couple?
Rockstar has not definitively labeled Jason and Lucia as a couple in the official material cited here. The profiles connect their goals, and the synopsis places them in a dangerous situation where they have to rely on one another. Those details leave room for a romantic interpretation, but they do not confirm the precise status of their relationship or how it develops.
What has Rockstar confirmed about Lucia?
Rockstar’s profile confirms that Lucia was taught to fight by her father, was imprisoned after fighting for her family, and has been released. It also describes her ambition to pursue a better life after her family left Liberty City. The profile includes the line, “The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got.” Rockstar does not identify a named speaker or performer for the profile’s quoted lines, so they should be attributed to the official profile rather than to an actor.
