Xiaomi’s Vision Gran Turismo is an electric hypercar concept created for the Gran Turismo racing game series—not a production car announced for sale. Xiaomi announced it in Barcelona on February 28, 2026, then revealed the full-scale model at MWC Barcelona in March. Gran Turismo says the car is scheduled to join Gran Turismo 7 in the October 2026 Spec IV update, but its announcement does not specify a release day.
What Xiaomi revealed at MWC 2026
Xiaomi’s investor presentation dates its announcement to February 28, 2026; the company’s global announcement says the full-scale concept model was revealed at MWC Barcelona in March. Those are two stages of the same unveiling: the announcement came first, followed by the show-floor reveal.
Xiaomi says the collaboration began after Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi invited the company at the GT World Series in London in 2025. Xiaomi describes Vision Gran Turismo as a global initiative in which automakers create original concept cars for the Gran Turismo series. It calls this its first invitation to the project, and describes itself as the first Chinese brand and first technology company to participate. Xiaomi’s investor presentation identifies the car as the program’s “51st Vision GT Concept Car.” These are Xiaomi’s characterizations of its place in the project, not vehicle specifications.
Is the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo a real car you can buy?
No production version, road-legal model or retail offer has been announced in the official materials cited here. Xiaomi and Gran Turismo present it as a concept for the game franchise; they provide no production plan, homologation details, retail price or ordering process. Its full-scale display model does not mean a consumer version is on sale.

Can you drive the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo in Gran Turismo 7?
Gran Turismo announced on October 3, 2026, that the car is scheduled to be added to Gran Turismo 7 with the Spec IV major update in October. The announcement does not give an exact release date. It also said footage was shown at the 2026 GT World Series Singapore round. For the current status, see Gran Turismo’s announcement and check the live game and update information for your region.
The announced game addition is the practical way to experience the concept. It does not make the car a purchasable Xiaomi vehicle; Gran Turismo 7 is a PlayStation game, and the car’s in-game availability depends on the update.

What design features has Xiaomi described?
Airflow and body design
Xiaomi’s concept page describes an Active Wake Control System (AWCS) made up of thousands of microholes. The company says they generate airflow at varying speeds according to vehicle speed and posture, with the aim of reducing turbulence while keeping the body’s appearance seamless. This is Xiaomi’s design description, not an independently verified aerodynamic result.
Gran Turismo describes a teardrop-shaped cockpit set into a body with cutouts and air ducts that form aerodynamic channels. Its announcement also says the halo-shaped taillight functions as a large air outlet. Neither official announcement supplies a verified drag coefficient, downforce figure, power output or other measured performance statistic.
