MSI’s returning CYCLONE line starts with the GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE, model G5060-8C. Its circular cooler and frosted snow-camo finish set it apart visually, while MSI’s specifications identify it as an 8GB GDDR7 RTX 5060. The base card and the separately listed CYCLONE OC have different boost clocks, so check the exact model before comparing listings.
What is the MSI GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE?
It is MSI’s GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card in the returning CYCLONE design. MSI describes the finish as frosted snow camo and positions the card as a revival of the line. That describes MSI’s product framing; the available official material does not establish a full CYCLONE-series roadmap or a chronological launch sequence.
The exact base model is G5060-8C. MSI’s official product page is GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE, and its specification datasheet gives the card’s configuration. MSI also lists a distinct GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE OC; the two should not be treated as the same SKU.
MSI RTX 5060 CYCLONE specifications
The following figures are MSI-listed specifications for the base G5060-8C, not results from independent testing.

How does the circular CYCLONE cooler work?
MSI describes a circular thermal design built around an aluminum-extruded sunflower radiator, dense fins, two heat pipes, and a custom 100mm PWM fan. The unusual round form is a design feature of the card, rather than evidence by itself of better cooling or lower noise.
MSI characterizes the cooler as high-efficiency, but that is manufacturer language, not a measured result. The available information does not establish independent temperature, acoustic, or gaming tests for this exact board.
Rank #2
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
CYCLONE versus CYCLONE OC: check the listed clock
MSI publishes separate base and OC listings. Their listed boost clocks differ, so make sure the product name and SKU match the specification you are using.
| Model | MSI-listed boost clock | Source |
|---|---|---|
| GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE (G5060-8C) | 2497 MHz; 2512 MHz with MSI Center Extreme Performance | MSI datasheet |
| GeForce RTX 5060 8G CYCLONE OC | 2527 MHz | MSI OC product page |
These are manufacturer-listed clock figures, not benchmark results. A higher listed boost clock alone does not establish how much faster one card performs in a particular game.

Availability, pricing, and performance evidence
MSI cautions that configuration, availability, and launch timing can vary by market. Its retrieved official product page and datasheet do not establish a current price, country-specific stock date, or exact market release date for the CYCLONE SKU. Check MSI’s product page and local retailers for current regional listings, and verify whether a listing is for the base CYCLONE or CYCLONE OC.
NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 family announcement gives broader context, but its starting price is not a price for this MSI board or proof of its local availability: NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 family announcement. MSI identifies the CYCLONE as a Blackwell card and promotes GeForce RTX features, but neither establishes card-specific frame rates. No independent performance review for this model is established here.
