PlayStation’s reviewed support instructions do not document a user-facing PSN sign-in history or dated login audit log. If you’re worried someone else has access, you can remotely end sessions at Account Management > Security > Sign Out on All Devices. That does not deactivate your consoles; deactivation is a separate action.
Can you view your PSN sign-in history?
PlayStation’s published support guidance reviewed here does not show an account page where you can inspect a dated list of logins, locations, IP addresses, or devices. That is a limit of the documented user-facing tools—not proof that Sony does not retain sign-in data internally. The PlayStation Account & Security help page is the official starting point for account-security options.
If you spot an account change you did not make—such as a changed sign-in ID, online ID, or password—contact PlayStation Support through its account recovery guidance. Sony’s instructions describe recovery by email when you can access that email account, or passkey access from another device using the same verification method.
Sign out of PSN on a console you can access
If the console is in your hands, use its settings to sign out locally. PlayStation says accounts generally stay signed in until you sign out, although a system software update or network outage can also end a session.

Sign-out and console deactivation are different
Signing out ends account sessions on devices. Deactivation removes the account’s console activation, which is relevant to access to purchases and certain sharing benefits. Sony provides a separate control for deactivation:

Consult the console deactivation instructions before using the control, especially if you depend on console activation for purchases or sharing.

If you still control the account, change its password and secure the sign-in method. If you see unauthorized charges or suspect phishing, use Sony’s guidance for compromised accounts and unauthorized charges. Avoid assuming that an unfamiliar event can be traced to a specific location or device through a login-history screen; the support pages above do not document such a feature.
Quick Recap
Best Value
Make future account access harder to misuse
- Enable a passkey or 2-step verification. Sony’s Account & Security hub describes passkeys and 2-step verification using an authenticator app or SMS.
- Keep recovery codes available. During 2-step verification setup, record the backup codes somewhere secure. Sony says each of the ten codes works once; if you lack codes or access to the required phone or method, contact Support using its 2-step verification troubleshooting page.
- Sign out of shared devices. PlayStation’s security best practices advise signing out when finished on a shared device, or signing out remotely.
- Review purchase protection. Sony describes requiring a password at checkout to protect Store purchases. Its guidance notes that this setting is not compatible with accounts using passkeys.
- Watch for phishing. Sony advises caution with QR-code scams and recommends contacting Support promptly about suspicious account activity.
