There are seven Special World entrances in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, one connected to each regular region. Some require finding an alternate course exit and clearing the route it opens; others appear after you return to an area or finish a challenge chain. Use the region-by-region checklist below to find each entrance and the Special World course it unlocks.
Pipe-Rock Plateau: Special Bounce, Bounce, Bounce
- In Bulrush Express, reach the end and break through the brick wall to find the alternate exit. Prima notes that Elephant Mario can use his trunk to break the blocks after you collect the Wonder Seed. Nintendo Life and Prima Games describe the route.
- Clear the courses opened by that exit: Sproings in the Twilight Forest, Cosmic Hoppos, and Expert Badge Challenge: Jet Run I.
- Follow the newly opened route to the Special World entrance.
Fluff-Puff Peaks: Special Climb to the Beat
- Find the path north of Pole Block Passage.
- Clear Jump! Jump! Jump!, then Expert Badge Challenge: Spring Feet I.
- Continue beyond the challenge to reach the entrance.
Shining Falls: Special Triple Threat Deluge
- Clear Shining Falls and earn its Royal Seed.
- Return to Royal Seed Mansion. Master Poplin opens a new route to the Special World entrance.
Sunbaked Desert: Special Pole Block Allure
- Find the secret exit in Secrets of Shova Mansion. Ground-pound the blocks to reveal a glowing pit, then push the green block into it to open the alternate route, according to Prima Games.
- Clear the courses along the route: Flight of the Bloomps and Expert Badge Challenge: Invisibility I.
- Follow the opened path to the entrance.
Fungi Mines: Special Dangerous Donut Ride
- Earn the area’s Royal Seed.
- Return to Operation Poplin Rescue and clear the course again. Completing it a second time opens the route to the Special World entrance.
Deep Magma Bog: Special Solar Roller
- Collect 25 Wonder Seeds in Deep Magma Bog to access Expert Badge Challenge: Jet Run II.
- Clear Jet Run II, then complete the unlocked Invisibility II and Spring Feet II challenges.
- Follow the newly revealed route to the entrance.
Petal Isles: Special Way of the Goombas
- Complete Wiggler Race: Spelunking! as you make your way around the islands.
- After completing the island loop, follow the route that opens to reach the Special World entrance.
If an entrance route is missing
Check the map’s Courses screen for a faint green completion checkmark. Nintendo says that secret paths can reveal an extra Wonder Seed, new courses, or a familiar face, and recommends exploring around map objects and corners. The seven regional entrances are separate from The Final-Final Test: Badge Marathon. Prima Games says that challenge requires every Wonder Seed, all 10-Flower Coins, and reaching the top of every Goal Pole in every stage, including Special World stages; those requirements are not needed just to find the regional entrances.
