For a replay, check the organizer’s VOD link and the video platform’s archive. Neither a fixture listing nor a finished match guarantees that a stream or replay is available.
Find the match and confirm its start time
HLTV’s Counter-Strike match listing is a useful place to discover live and upcoming fixtures. It shows match and event information, including teams, format and times. Treat it as a schedule aid, not proof that a particular broadcast is available.
- Check the listing’s time zone before planning around a kickoff.
- Return near match time: schedules and match progress can change.
- When the listing points you to an event or channel, confirm the link with the organizer before watching.
For example, HLTV’s listing showed live matches and fixtures for October 4, 2026, including ESL Pro League Season 24, when checked that day. Those were date-specific listings, not a lasting schedule. Verify fixtures on the day you want to watch.
Choose a trustworthy live broadcast
Start with the tournament organizer
An event’s own announcement or official channel is the best place to confirm where and when it is broadcasting. The IEM Cologne 2026 announcement on Steam, for instance, gives event-specific timing and a direction to tune in. It is an example for that event, not a permanent directory of CS2 broadcasts.

Use third-party hubs as a shortcut, not final confirmation
CSDB’s watch page describes its service as collecting match information and embedding official Twitch or YouTube streams. A hub can help you find a live channel, but it is a third-party service: its links and coverage may change and are not guaranteed to be complete. When possible, verify the stream against the event organizer’s own link.
Compare the available ways to watch

Can you watch esports matches inside CS2?
Sometimes, but do not assume every tournament offers an in-game viewing option. Valve’s Counter-Strike Major Supplemental Rulebook describes server-side CSTV setup and an observer workflow for Major matches. In a documented test, Valve says: “GOTV viewer in our test sees camera switching and caster’s in-game voice narration matching the camerawork.” The wording describes what a viewer saw in that test; it does not establish that every match or competition exposes a CSTV feed to the public.

If a tournament’s official information does not say that an in-game feed is available, use its confirmed broadcast link rather than relying on a universal in-client route. CS2 receives updates—the official Counter-Strike site listed a game update dated September 22, 2026, when checked October 4, 2026—so verify any detailed in-client instructions against current official information.
Find a replay after the match
- Return to the tournament or organizer’s official match page or announcement and look for its VOD or replay link.
- If the organizer links to a video platform, check that platform’s archive for the completed match.
- Confirm that the recording is the correct match and that it is still available to view in your location.
Replay availability and retention vary by event and platform. There is no established universal archive or retention period for all CS2 esports matches. The sources cited here also do not establish whether a particular match has a downloadable game demo, so check that tournament’s own information rather than assuming a VOD and a demo are the same thing.

Check event rules before restreaming
Watching an official broadcast and rebroadcasting it are different things. Community-stream permissions are event-specific, so consult the organizer’s current policy before making a community restream or posting its VOD. For example, the Esports World Cup’s 2026 Counter-Strike 2 page says community streams and their VODs must be strictly non-commercial under its stated policy. Do not assume that rule applies to other tournaments.
