There is no verified, server-wide ranking that proves one character is the best investment in Kuroko’s Basketball Street Rivals. The March and April 2026 tier lists broadly favor Zone Kagami, Akashi, Aomine, Murasakibara and Midorima, but disagree on rankings. Choose by the role you need, how comfortable you are using the character, and how much you want to specialize your upgrades—not by treating a tier list as a guarantee of wins.
Best first investments by play style
The clearest practical recommendation in the available character guide is conditional: Zone Kagami is presented as an accessible scorer, Akashi as a flexible but resource-intensive playmaker, and Midorima as a specialist for players committed to long-range scoring. Aomine is another high-offense option, though his more involved combos may be harder to learn.
| Character | Why consider investing | Trade-off | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zone Taiga Kagami | Explosive dunk offense and straightforward positioning, according to Clashiverse’s March 11, 2026 guide. | The favorable assessment is one guide’s evaluation, not independently tested performance. | Players who want a comparatively accessible scoring option, especially in lower and mid ranks as characterized by that guide. |
| Seijuro Akashi | Clashiverse describes him as contributing on offense and defense while also playmaking. | The guide says his full potential requires substantial skill-tree investment. | Players who want a flexible playmaker and are prepared to commit resources to his build. |
| Shintaro Midorima | Clashiverse highlights three-point scoring and some defensive utility. | Shooting-guard upgrades are described as specialized and less transferable to other positions. | Players who specifically want a long-range scorer and are content to focus upgrades on that role. |
| Aomine | Clashiverse describes his offense as unpredictable and gives him a high offensive ceiling. | Longer, more complicated combos can challenge beginners, according to the guide. | Players willing to learn a more demanding offensive character. |
| Murasakibara | Included in Kongbakpao’s S tier on April 8, 2026. | The cited tier list does not establish a specific investment cost or a comparable character-by-character upgrade burden. | Players whose team needs align with him; the available evidence supports tier-list consideration, not a universal recommendation. |
These descriptions come from guides, not a common official scoring system or controlled performance comparison. Clashiverse’s character evaluations are at its March 11, 2026 tier guide.
Use tier lists as dated snapshots, not proof of value
Kongbakpao’s April 8, 2026 list places Kuroko, Kagami, Aomine, Imayoshi, Murasakibara, Akashi and Midorima in S tier. Its author also notes the difficulty of ranking every character and says players can choose according to preference. That list and the March guide offer useful candidates, but neither establishes a current, authoritative ordering for every region or server.

Regional versions and newer variants can shift opinions. A July 2026 community discussion shows disagreement about later LG variants; it is evidence that player assessments move, not a definitive ranking. Check that a tier list matches your server and the versions available to you before spending scarce upgrade materials. Compare the dated lists at Kongbakpao and the July 2026 community discussion.
How to decide where your resources go
- Identify the job your team needs. Consider whether you need scoring, defense, or playmaking, then compare that need with the roles described for the characters you own and can field.
- Choose a character whose execution suits you. If you want a more straightforward scoring option, the March guide favors Zone Kagami. If you enjoy learning involved combos, Aomine may suit you better.
- Check how specialized the build is. Midorima’s shooting-guard upgrades are described as less transferable; Akashi’s full potential is described as needing substantial skill-tree investment. Decide whether that commitment fits your longer-term roster plans.
- Verify local availability and current rules. Character versions and player evaluations can vary over time and by server. Confirm what is available in your game before committing, rather than assuming an older guide reflects your current roster.
- Build a usable core before chasing a tier. If you lack a specific regional ranking or your roster changes, prioritize a role you like and can field consistently, then invest in alternatives that cover missing team roles.
What is known about draws and upgrade costs
Five Cross’s January 18, 2024 announcement describes Street Rivals as a free-to-play 3D basketball competition for iOS and Android, originally released in Japan on November 16, 2023. It says character draws are limited and duplicate character cards convert automatically into awakening cards. Those are dated details, not confirmation that current banner or duplicate-card rules remain unchanged. See Five Cross’s announcement via PR TIMES.
The available official announcement does not give a current total upgrade-cost table. An App Store user review mentions a cost of around 50,000 gems to max a Generation of Miracles character, but that is an individual, unverified statement—not an official price or independently measured cost. It should not be used as a budget estimate; the review and listing are at Apple’s App Store page.
