If you want another mobile RPG built around collecting heroes and making progress while you are away, start by comparing AFK Arena, Idle Heroes, and Omniheroes. All three have official store listings describing idle progression or hero collection. They are candidates to try, not a proven ranking: the available descriptions do not establish which is easiest to play for free, requires the least daily time, or offers the strongest gameplay.
What to look for in a game like Heroes of Crown
Heroes of Crown: Legends is presented on its Google Play listing as a fantasy idle RPG about recruiting heroes, building teams, fighting strategic battles, growing while away, joining guilds, and competing in PvP. The listing displayed an update date of July 23, 2026 when checked on October 4, 2026. Its features and availability may change.
For a useful comparison, check four things in each game’s current local store listing:
- Idle loop: What does the game say progresses while you are away, and how do you collect or claim the results?

- Current version and cost: Confirm features, regional availability, age rating, and in-app purchases. A free-to-play label does not show how far a player can progress without paying.

AFK Arena is a natural first comparison if you want a fantasy setting and a collectible hero roster. Its current US App Store listing surfaces campaign challenges, co-op modes, hero borrowing, a beast system, and an event it calls “Get All Heroes.” It also advertises “1,000+ summons”; that is a store-listing claim, not an independent measure of generosity or game quality.

Idle Heroes: the clearest away-time match
Idle Heroes most directly echoes the away-time progression loop. Its official App Store listing says heroes train while you are away and describes factions, summoning, roster evolution, arena, and other game modes. That establishes a mechanical resemblance, not identical pacing, workload, or monetization to Heroes of Crown.

Omniheroes: a fantasy idle RPG with a large roster
Omniheroes is described in its US App Store listing as a fantasy-themed idle strategy RPG. The listing says it includes “100+ heroes” and centers on a Valkyrie-focused fantasy setting. Those publisher-listed details make it worth considering if you want idle progression alongside fantasy hero collecting; they do not show that it has better free-to-play balance or less daily upkeep.

Which game is best for free-to-play players or the least grindy?
The available listing information does not support a reliable winner for free-to-play generosity, daily workload, grind, or strategic depth. Compare the current versions directly rather than treating summon counts, roster size, or an idle label as proof of better value.
