How do draws and pity work?
Netmarble’s draw guide describes Character Draw and Custom Draw for obtaining hunters and weapons, with different tickets for the draw types. It says the game displays reward appearance rates and draw history, so check those details in the client before spending on a particular banner.
Published support rules—and an important caveat
The guide describes a Draw Support gauge that rises by one per draw and resets when an SSR is obtained. Under the rules it documents, an SSR is guaranteed within 70 draws, and the SSR rate increases by 5.8% with each draw beginning at draw 60. For a rate-up draw, it describes a 50% chance that an SSR obtained through support is the featured SSR; if it is not, the next support SSR is guaranteed to be the rate-up hunter.
These are the guide’s published rules, not a promise about every live or future banner. Netmarble says the guide was written using a test version and that details may change; it also says collaboration draws use separate rules. Read the current banner’s in-game rules and rate display before relying on a guarantee or deciding how many draws to make.
Can free players keep progressing?
The official descriptions show a progression loop that goes beyond draws: play as Jinwoo, customize skills and equipment, build a hunter team, clear gates for rewards, and take on dungeons, raids, boss replays, and time attacks. The launch announcement also describes recruiting shadow soldiers and developing the Army of Shadows. Store update notes point to continuing additions to story chapters, hunters, weapons, artifacts, and modes. That means the content and progression environment can change. The official sources cited here do not give a current free-currency-per-week figure, guarantee a specific number of free pulls, or establish that non-spenders reach endgame or competitive benchmarks at the same pace as spenders. “Free to play” confirms access without an upfront purchase; by itself, it does not settle how generous progression feels or how quickly a particular player can acquire a featured hunter.
