How to Unlock Chapter 4’s Secret Area in Black Myth: Wukong

Chapter 4’s secret area is Purple Cloud Mountain. To reach it, defeat the Venom Daoist at the Pool of Shattered Jade, defeat him again later near the Court of Illumination, then interact with the revealed wall or painting. The first fight is required to unlock the second.

1. Find the Venom Daoist at the Pool of Shattered Jade

In Webbed Hollow, make your way to the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine. Attack the large cocoon nearby to trigger the Venom Daoist’s first encounter, then defeat him. This victory is a prerequisite: the later encounter will not appear until you have won this fight.

3. Enter Purple Cloud Mountain

After the second victory, interact with the wall or painting revealed in the arena. This opens the way into Purple Cloud Mountain, an optional area off the main story route with additional encounters, including Scorpionlord and Duskveil.
