How Campaign aircraft unlocks work
Bandai Namco’s official walkthrough says additional fighter jets can be unlocked with MRP earned in missions. The Aircraft Tree is therefore a shared campaign progression budget: MRP spent on one option is unavailable for other purchases.

A launch-period review by Tom’s Guide reports that MRP can also buy weapons and aircraft upgrades, and can be used to buy extra jets for teammates. There is no official optimal purchase order. A practical choice is to identify the next mission’s likely demands and buy toward an aircraft or capability that helps meet them, rather than spending indiscriminately across branches.
Choose purchases around mission requirements
Bandai Namco recommends matching aircraft and special weapons to mission objectives and your playstyle; parts can be combined to upgrade an aircraft. Check the mission briefing and aircraft selection screen before committing MRP. Tom’s Guide reports that some mid-game missions restrict players to carrier-capable aircraft, so keep that possibility in mind rather than spending your entire balance immediately before a mission. The specific restriction depends on the mission and game state.

How to earn MRP efficiently
The official materials describe MRP as mission-earned but do not publish a payout formula, a score-to-MRP conversion, or a ranking of missions by MRP per minute. The available evidence does not establish that a particular weapon, difficulty setting, or route is mathematically best.
A September 29, 2026 guide from Power Up Gaming recommends using Free Mission to replay missions with many accessible targets, including dense groups of ground targets, ships, or mixed forces. This is a third-party suggestion, not a publisher-confirmed or controlled comparison. Treat it as a route worth trying, not a guaranteed fastest method.

A practical replay routine
- Check the Aircraft Tree and choose the next aircraft or capability you want to unlock.
- Review upcoming objectives and leave enough MRP for any aircraft requirement you may encounter, including carrier-capable options.
- Once Free Mission is available, try a replay with numerous accessible targets and a loadout suited to them.
- Note your own mission payout and the time taken. Compare routes you can complete reliably, using the aircraft and weapons available to you.
- Use results from this game rather than assuming a farming method or economy rule from another Ace Combat title applies here.
Campaign, Online, and ACE PASS progression are different
Campaign aircraft use mission-earned MRP and Aircraft Tree purchases. Online progression is separate: Bandai Namco says Online has separate progression and save data, with aircraft availability tied to mercenary rewards and aircraft levels gained through sorties. Online play also counts toward ACE PASS progress. These Online systems are not a way to farm Campaign MRP.
The free ACE PASS is a seasonal track that earns XP through Online missions, according to Bandai Namco’s Europe FAQ. Season 1’s ADFX-02 Morgan–PIXY is listed as a Level 1 reward on the Premium pass. Bandai Namco’s official game page says Premium ACE PASS PLUS adds a 30-level skip. The FAQ states that Morgan–PIXY requires Campaign Mode completion before it can be used in Campaign. These Season 1 and Deluxe/Premium details concern seasonal rewards and do not provide a general shortcut through the normal Campaign aircraft tree; check current season terms for availability.
