Created by the 7 Fingers Troupe, it brings acrobatics, parkour, theatre and historical storytelling to an audience. The newest released game as of October 4, 2026, is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, an interactive remake about pirate Edward Kenway. The difference is fundamental: you watch Heredis; you play the games.
What is Assassin’s Creed Heredis?
Ubisoft describes Heredis: Echoes of the Past as a “new, wholly original live show with Assassin’s Creed,” created by the 7 Fingers Troupe. Its announced premise follows a young man travelling across history in search of his lost father. The production combines acrobatics and parkour with theatre and historical settings.
Heredis is part of the Assassin’s Creed universe, but Ubisoft has not described it as an adaptation of a particular game’s plot or as a playable entry in the series. The audience watches a performance rather than controlling an assassin. Ubisoft also says viewers do not need prior knowledge of the games to enjoy the show.

How Heredis differs from Black Flag Resynced
Black Flag Resynced is the closest comparison if you want the latest released game in the series. It revisits Edward Kenway’s Caribbean pirate adventure as an interactive game, with revised combat, stealth, naval play and parkour, plus new story content. Ubisoft lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It released on July 9, 2026; a physical Standard Edition is available through local retailers. See Ubisoft’s Black Flag Resynced launch guide for platform details.
Heredis shares the franchise’s interest in movement, history and adventure, but presents them as stage performance. It is not a way to play Edward Kenway’s story, and the official announcement does not say it retells the Resynced plot.

How Heredis relates to Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Shadows is another recent game, released in 2025. Its June 16, 2026 final major update adds a concluding story chapter for Naoe and Yasuke, challenge content and a narrative bridge to Black Flag Resynced. Those are game updates and story links; they do not make Heredis a game continuation. Ubisoft’s Shadows final-update article describes the update.

Ubisoft described Hexe as a darker, narrative-driven experience and Invictus as a PvP multiplayer experience. These are announced projects, not released games to compare with Heredis as current playable options. See the March franchise update for the status Ubisoft gave at that time.
