Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was announced for Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, 2024, with PS5 planned for Spring 2025. The PS5 date was later confirmed as April 17, 2025. Both launches have now passed; the Gamescom announcement on August 20, 2024, was the moment the original dates were revealed.
What Gamescom 2024 announced
During Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20, 2024, MachineGames and Lucasfilm Games announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, 2024. The announcement gave PS5 a Spring 2025 window, without an exact day. Lucasfilm’s announcement described the initial release as coming to Xbox, PC and Game Pass, followed by PS5 in spring.
For PC, Xbox Wire specified Windows PC and Steam. It also said Game Pass subscribers could play on day one. Xbox Wire’s Gamescom article and Bethesda’s announcement both covered the initial Game Pass availability.
When did it come to PS5?
The 2024 announcement’s “Spring 2025” wording was later made precise: the PS5 version released April 17, 2025. That date appears in Lucasfilm’s launch announcement and on the PlayStation product page.

Bethesda’s current buying page lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam and PlayStation 5. It notes that physical availability varies by region, so a physical copy may not be offered everywhere.
What editions were announced?
At Gamescom, Bethesda described the Last Crusade Pack and said the Premium Edition and Premium Edition Upgrade included three days of early access beginning December 6, 2024, the Order of the Giants story DLC, a Temple of Doom outfit and a digital art book. The official Gamescom date-reveal trailer also advertised up to three days of early access with the Premium Edition, Premium Edition Upgrade or Collector’s Edition. These were launch-era edition details, not an indication of current stock or availability.

Bethesda’s current purchase page describes a Collector’s Bundle with an 11-inch globe with hidden storage, an Allmaker relic replica, a jumbo SteelBook display case, a new adventure journal, and the Premium Edition with game disc and premium content. Availability of physical products varies by region. The same page says The Order of the Giants became available for separate purchase on September 4, 2025; the base game is required.

The game is set in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Lucasfilm describes Indy’s investigation as a mystery involving a “great circle” of ancient sites around the world. Lucasfilm’s launch announcement provides that story context.
