The MOBAPAD M12 Pro is marketed for Nintendo Switch 2, as is Nintendo’s Joy-Con 2. They are not the same controller: the M12 Pro lists mechanical buttons, TMR Glide sticks and customizable rear buttons, while Joy-Con 2 adds Nintendo’s HD rumble 2, mouse controls for compatible games and a C Button. The M12 Pro’s published per-side dimensions and weight are greater, but specifications alone cannot establish which controller feels more comfortable. If by “Joy-Cons” you mean the original Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, those work with Switch 2 wirelessly only: they cannot attach to the console, and their HOME button cannot wake it from sleep.
Which controller works with Switch 2?
MOBAPAD describes the M12 Pro as a Switch 2 split controller with Joy-Con-style controls. Nintendo describes Joy-Con 2 as for Switch 2 only. MOBAPAD also says the M12 Pro supports Switch 2 wake functionality, the C Button and mouse functionality; those are manufacturer claims, and MOBAPAD advises consulting the latest manual and firmware guidance for mouse-mode operation. MOBAPAD’s M12 Pro specifications and FAQ do not constitute an independent compatibility test.
Original Nintendo Switch Joy-Con are a separate generation. Nintendo Support says they can be used with Switch 2 wirelessly, but they cannot attach to the console, and pressing their HOME button cannot wake Switch 2 from sleep. Nintendo’s statement that earlier Nintendo Switch controllers can also be used with Switch 2 should be read with those limits in mind. Nintendo Support’s Switch 2 compatibility guidance addresses original Joy-Con, not Joy-Con 2.

The two vibration labels are not evidence of equivalent hardware or effect: MOBAPAD calls its system HD2.0, while Nintendo calls its system HD rumble 2. The listed feature sets show different priorities, but do not establish how either controller performs in a particular game.

On the manufacturers’ published figures, each M12 Pro side is heavier, and its listed dimensions are larger in two of the three measurements. Measurement conventions may differ, so these numbers are useful for sizing expectations, not proof of comfort or ergonomic superiority. Hand size, grip style and how long you play can matter more than a single dimension.
How long do the batteries last?
MOBAPAD specifies an 800mAh lithium-ion battery per M12 Pro side and estimates 18–20 hours when the vibration motors are not operating. Nintendo specifies a 500mAh lithium-ion battery for Joy-Con 2 and estimates approximately 20 hours. Nintendo notes that actual life varies with usage conditions. These are manufacturer estimates with different stated conditions, not results from a controlled side-by-side test.

Nintendo says Joy-Con 2 charges through the Switch 2 console or a separately sold Joy-Con 2 charging grip. MOBAPAD lists 5V/500mA input for the M12 Pro; check its current manual for charging instructions.
What do they cost, and what comes in the bundles?
At the time the MOBAPAD product page was checked, it displayed $119.99 USD against a crossed-out $129.99 USD and marked the product “Sold out.” Price, discount, stock and delivery are volatile; check the listing before buying rather than treating those figures as current availability. The page lists three options: the standard M12 Pro, an M12 Pro + MA21 Grip bundle, and an M12 Pro + MA21 Grip + H12 Carrying Case bundle. Which one should you choose?
- Consider the M12 Pro if you want its listed mechanical ABXY buttons and D-pad, TMR Glide sticks, customizable M1/M2 buttons, or wired connection option, and are comfortable with its larger, heavier published per-side figures.
- Choose Joy-Con 2 if you want Nintendo’s Switch 2 controller and its listed HD rumble 2, C Button, or mouse controls in compatible games.
- Keep original Joy-Con compatibility separate if you already own first-generation Nintendo Switch Joy-Con: they can connect wirelessly to Switch 2 but do not attach to it and cannot wake it from sleep.
Neither specification page establishes which controller is more comfortable, better built or more responsive in play. A comfort verdict would require hands-on assessment rather than inference from dimensions or feature lists.
