In the United States, NFL+ lets you watch live local and primetime games on a phone or tablet, but those games cannot be cast to a TV. For a TV, use the broadcaster or streaming service showing the matchup; for out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games, the NFL identifies NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube and YouTube TV.
Start with the game, not the device
NFL viewing rights depend on the matchup, broadcast window, and your location. A service that carries one game may not carry another, so check the current NFL schedule and local listings before subscribing. The NFL’s Ways to Watch guide lists the available network and streaming routes, while its live-game access guide explains market and provider requirements. Broadcast rights and blackout restrictions may apply.

Watch on a phone or tablet
Use NFL+ for live local and primetime games
NFL+ carries live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games on phones and tablets. “Local” means games available on TV in your market. NFL Support states: “Live local and primetime regular season and postseason games are available only on phones and tablets.” As a result, NFL+ is a mobile viewing option for these live games, not a way to watch them on a television.

Know what else NFL+ offers
NFL+ includes live audio for every game across supported devices. NFL+ Premium adds NFL RedZone and full and condensed replays across supported devices. NFL Network is also available across supported devices; NFL says its NFL Network offering includes seven live games in the 2026 season. That seven-game figure describes the NFL Network offering, not the total number of games in the season.
Watch on a smart TV or connected TV
Open the app for the broadcaster or streaming service carrying your game, such as the relevant network app or a service named in the table. The NFL says connected-TV apps and NFL.com may require you to sign in with a cable or streaming-provider account. Check the service’s supported-device list, subscription terms, and local game listing before relying on it.

NFL+ supports some content on connected TVs, but its live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games remain limited to phones and tablets; casting them to a TV is not supported. If your television lacks the app you need, a streaming player may provide an app interface, but check the broadcaster’s compatibility page for the specific device before buying one. A streaming player does not change which service has a game’s rights, market restrictions, or login requirements.
Can you cast NFL+ live games to a TV?
No. NFL+ live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games are for phones and tablets and cannot be cast to a television. To watch the matchup on a TV, use the network or streaming service that carries it and confirm that service supports your TV or connected device.
