Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection is announced for Nintendo Switch 2, but official sources reviewed do not confirm the Switch 2 edition’s local co-op setup, offline support, or download size. Nintendo says the console has 256 GB of internal storage, with some reserved for system use, and supports microSD Express expansion.

Which Diablo IV release is coming to Switch 2?

Blizzard announced Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection for Nintendo Switch 2, with a release date of September 15, 2026. The collection includes the base game, Vessel of Hatred, and Lord of Hatred. Blizzard’s announcement is the official source for the announced platform release and bundle contents.

Does Diablo IV on Switch 2 have local co-op?

The official sources reviewed do not confirm local co-op for this Switch 2 edition, including its player count, account setup, or whether a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required. Diablo IV has had couch co-op on consoles generally, and older Blizzard patch notes discuss local co-op systems, but those sources do not establish how the Switch 2 edition works. A community forum discussion claims two-player couch co-op; treat that as unverified rather than a confirmed publisher statement.

Can you play Diablo IV offline on Switch 2?

Switch 2-specific offline behavior is not confirmed in the official materials reviewed. The same community discussion claims an internet connection is required, but it is not an official platform-specific answer. Blizzard’s older PC launch requirements listed broadband internet for the PC version; that does not prove the Switch 2 edition’s exact network requirements. Check current Blizzard support or the game’s official listing for a definitive Switch 2 answer before planning to play without a connection.

How much storage does the Switch 2 edition need?

Blizzard has not stated the Switch 2 edition’s download size, installed footprint, update size, or recommended free space in the official announcement. Do not use the older 90 GB PC requirement as a Switch 2 estimate; it applies to PC, not this console edition. Check the Nintendo eShop listing or current publisher support materials for the game’s actual size when available.

Nintendo states that Switch 2 has 256 GB of internal storage and that some capacity is reserved for system use. The figure is the console’s total stated internal capacity, not the amount available for games after system data and other installations. Nintendo also says no individual game currently requires additional storage space to play. Its storage and data-management guidance does not give Diablo IV’s specific size.

Can you expand Switch 2 storage with a regular microSD card?

Nintendo specifies microSD Express cards for storing downloaded software, updates, and downloadable content on Switch 2. Before buying a card for game storage, check that it is the Express format and consult Nintendo’s current compatibility guidance. There is no confirmed Diablo IV footprint here on which to base a capacity recommendation, and the available sources do not establish a required card or a particular brand.
