Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF is a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate, QHD resolution and a stated 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time. Samsung announced it in May 2025; the preorder wording in the original headline applied to Australia in July 2025, not necessarily to current availability elsewhere.
What the Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF offers
The G60SF combines a 2,560 × 1,440-pixel (QHD) resolution with a 500Hz refresh rate on a 27-inch QD-OLED panel. Samsung also specifies a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or a guarantee of any particular gaming performance.

Samsung Korea’s May 12, 2025 announcement additionally lists peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits, HDR10+ Gaming, Glare Free and OLED Safeguard+. Those details come from the Korean regional announcement and should not be assumed to appear identically in every market’s product listing: Samsung Business Korea.
What 500Hz means for players
A 500Hz refresh rate means the display can refresh up to 500 times per second. That is a particularly high ceiling for fast-paced games, but benefiting from it depends on a PC and game that can deliver very high frame rates. A high refresh-rate specification alone does not establish how the monitor performs in independent testing, nor does it make a game run faster.

The QHD resolution is a trade-off to weigh alongside that refresh-rate target: the monitor is not 4K, and driving a large number of frames at 2,560 × 1,440 can still demand substantial PC performance. Samsung’s announcement does not provide a tested comparison with other monitors, so the specifications do not by themselves show that the G60SF is better than a particular alternative.
Launch timing and regional price announcements
Samsung’s May 11, 2025 global announcement named Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for the initial rollout, with more markets to follow in phases. It did not give a single worldwide price or a current stock status. See Samsung’s global announcement.

In its US announcement, Samsung cited Circana, LLC Retail Tracking Service for two category leadership claims: Samsung led US gaming-designed monitor dollar sales from January 2022 through December 2024, and US OLED gaming-designed monitor dollar and unit sales during calendar 2024. These are Samsung’s claims citing Circana, not an independent assessment of the G60SF’s performance.
