The Deluxe Edition aircraft skins are available in ACE COMBAT ONLINE, but the Campaign versions unlock only after you complete all missions. Online and Campaign also keep separate progression and save data, so an unlock in one mode may not appear in the other.
Start by identifying the missing skin
Write down the skin’s exact name and where you expected to get it: an edition bundle, a separate add-on, an Ace Pass reward, or in-game progression. Compare that name with your purchase receipt and the relevant official or platform store listing. Owning a Deluxe Edition or reaching a pass level does not necessarily mean you own every cosmetic shown in the game.

Bandai Namco lists the Deluxe Edition Customizable Cosmetic Set as including the F-4E “MOBIUS SQUADRON” skin, F/A-18C “TEAM ZVEZDA” skin, Tasha Costume Set, and Scarlet Missile Smoke. The aircraft skins are available in Online and become available in Campaign after all missions are completed; the costume and missile smoke are listed as Online Mode content. Some content is sold separately. For example, Steam’s ACE COMBAT 8 DLC listing identifies an F-14A playable-aircraft add-on and a Customizable Cosmetic Set. That Steam listing establishes what is listed for Steam, not what is available or owned on PlayStation or Xbox.

Check whether you are looking in Campaign or Online
ACE COMBAT ONLINE has progression and save data separate from Campaign Mode, according to Bandai Namco’s multiplayer FAQ. Check the mode in which the reward is offered before treating its absence elsewhere as a failed unlock.
- Deluxe aircraft skins: available Online; Campaign availability follows completion of all missions.
- Costume Set and Scarlet Missile Smoke: listed for Online Mode.
- Other Online rewards: check the specific reward’s listed mode and requirements rather than assuming Campaign and Online share unlock timing.
Verify any Ace Pass requirement
Check the in-game Ace Pass for the exact reward, its Free or Premium tier, and the level required. Bandai Namco’s Season One announcement says that not every Free level grants an item; Premium progression includes aircraft and cosmetics. It also describes a Deluxe voucher as redeeming a pass tier, so do not assume the voucher alone is a particular skin.

Keep aircraft unlocks distinct from cosmetic unlocks. The official walkthrough says additional fighter jets can be unlocked using MRP earned in missions. That does not establish an MRP requirement for skins unless the specific skin says so.
Confirm the purchase belongs to the account you are using
- Check the receipt or platform purchase history for the exact edition, add-on, or pass entitlement.
- Confirm that the game is running under the platform account that owns that content.
- Compare the item name and contents with the applicable storefront listing; do not use Steam’s add-on list to infer PlayStation or Xbox ownership.
- Return to the mode and progression condition named for that reward, then check whether the skin is available there.
These checks establish whether the expected entitlement and conditions match. They are not a publisher-confirmed repair procedure for a skin that remains missing.

What to do if the skin is still missing
If you have confirmed the entitlement, account, mode, and documented progression condition but the skin still does not appear, contact the platform’s account support or Bandai Namco support. Include the skin’s exact name, platform, edition or add-on, purchase proof, mode, and relevant progression status. Steam players can start with Steam Support for ACE COMBAT 8.
The official sources cited here do not document a guaranteed skin-specific recovery action. Reinstalling, clearing a cache, or resetting licenses should not be treated as confirmed fixes for this issue. Bandai Namco also states on its official game page that ACE COMBAT 8 does not include paid loot boxes or other randomized paid rewards; a missing cosmetic should be checked against its stated entitlement and unlock conditions, not assumed to be a random drop.
